Awesome boot for the price.

I have had these boots going on a month now. I wear them for work where I walk 6 to 8 miles in them. I needed about 2 weeks of breaking them in to became like slippers. They are very supportive and very comfortable. The sole is grippy and I get compliments on the way it looks. I wear these for work everyday. These boot have a PU midsole that I hear deteriorates is not used so you need to use them often. These are not able to be resoled like some of Lowa's higher end boots.

Midsole deteriorates quickly

The PU (polyurethane) midsole deteriorates over time, even when kept in a climate controlled shoe closet. Lowa refused to replace it and told me they knew this will happen. In fact they said that their warranty specifically refuses to cover this. (They blamed me for not wearing it more (?). I use my boats several times a year on hiking trips - but expect such an expensive shoe to last longer. I will stick with EVA midsoles in the future.
