The Lowa Explorer GTX Lo Hiking Shoe is worthy of technical treks high in alpinism, and it's softer and lighter than Lowa's other Explorers for easier hikes after work. It's inspired by Lowa's mountaineering Explorers for reliable rigidity on rockier terrain in high altitudes, except the lower profile provides supple mobility on dirt trails. Lowa made the upper out of durable split leather with comfier fabric around the collar and lace cover, and Gore-Tex laminates the upper for reliable waterproofing against rain and mud. Underfoot, the Explorer has a Vibram rubber sole with MegaGrip compound for dependable traction on slippery surfaces.
