Make winning as comfortable as possible.
Louis Garneau designed the Tri Power Laser Women’s Shorts to give you a competitive advantage, and a large part of that is long-distance comfort. Starting with Lycra Power fabric for its highly breathable and compressive properties, the Tri Power Laser shorts contain more Lycra per square inch than other fabrics. This adds extra compressive support that Louis Garneau claims will increase fatigue resistance by 10 to 20% over long distances.
Absorbing less water than other materials, these shorts dry out fast as you transition from water to your bike. Using an eight-panel design, the Tri Laser Shorts are flexible and give you the range of motion you demand for each part of your race. The tri-specific, Tri Air chamois conforms to your body through a wide range of motion without getting in the way so that it doesn’t hinder your swimming or running. With a comfortable elastic waistband, Power Lazer bands at the thighs to hold them in place, and flatlock seams to prevent chafing, the Tri Power Women’s Shorts make your determination the only thing that keeps you from the finish line.

Curious, in a good way...
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XL
I ended up loving these tri-shorts, but am confused about a few things. One, they are itty bitty. I returned for an XL that still looked child-sized, but ended up fitting once I worked myself into them. Super comfortable, stay put, and look good. Also wondering why the picture doesn't show a drawstring when there is one, and it's on the outside which isn't awesome. I almost wonder if they are mixing up the women's with the men's version since there's no drawstring shown in the product picture here. Overall a good buy, just be prepared for the size shock.
My 2 year old has impressions...
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Pulled this out of the packaging and she exclaimed "are those for Conrad?" (Conrad is 12 months old) For an egocentric child, it amazed me that she didn't even consider that these tri shorts were for her. Nay, they were small enough for her baby brother. Granted, they ended up "fitting" my 5'7" 125 lbs. rectangular body maybe a little too tightly. So, I think a size up for me, maybe another pair in the end. I found the waist band to not be as wide as pictured, it is more of a drawstring waist.
Itsy bitsy tri short
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
When these arrived I was sure I had ordered a junior size by mistake. They were so small looking that my wife almost didn't try them on. She did though, and they fit great.
