One pair does it all.
With a slightly looser paneling design than standard cycling tights, the Louis Garneau Element Women's Tights were created to be the perfect lower-body barrier for exercising in cool- and cold-weather conditions. This makes them ideal for running, skiing, and as a mid-weight layering piece.
The Element tights were made with two of Garneau's signature fabrics. For the majority of the paneling, a material known as Vertexx was employed. This fabric features a smooth outer-surface and a brushed back lining. This stretchy fabric strikes a fine balance between keeping you warm and not restricting movement with bulky fabrics. Vertexx's composition works to keep your legs warm, while at the same time, ensuring that you stay dry through its exceptional wicking capabilities.
For the front panels, and the backs of the legs, Garneau strategically placed its Light WindDry 2 material, as these zones take the brunt of the wind, rain, and snow during your late-season workouts. This two-ply material is made from a micro perforated polyurethane membrane, which both wicks moisture and provides waterproof and windproof protection against the elements.
Rounding out the tights, Garneau included nine-inch ankle zips for easy removal, and a generous amount of reflective logos and piping were added to the paneling to keep you seen by motorists in low-light conditions. An elastic waist with drawstring secures the fit up top, and articulated knees provide and full-range of motion.
The Louis Garneau Element Women's Tights are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. Please note that these tights do not feature a chamois.

Really more a pant as they're not tight like tights usually are. Soft, comfortable and warm, went for a hike in them yesterday in 40+ windy weather and stayed warm. Run a little short for me but with boots on not really a problem. Really like the higher rise and elastic waist band as they stay in place. Could have used a 32" inseam but otherwise a nice fit. Bought a pair of mens for my husband today.
