Copal II Cycling Shoe
The Copal II Cycling Shoe from Louis Garneau proves you can get a durable and high-quality pair of cycling shoes without spending a fortune. Using a seamless thermo-bonded upper, the shoe slices through the air with less drag all while eliminating irritation and hot spots. The synthetic leather is light, tough, and supple while the mesh inserts provide plenty of airflow for comfort and breathability. This updated version of the original Copal includes the award-winning X-Comfort Zone technology, first seen on its top-level offerings, that's designed to better adjust to the widths of varying foot sizes providing more comfort for longer while also increasing your efficiency.
The upper cinches down with two offset hook and loop straps for impressive foot security while the adjustable ratchet closure lets you micro-adjust on the fly. You'll find reflectors on the heel increasing visibility in low-light and inside, Cool Stuff insoles provide plenty of arch support and airflow for hot feet. At the bottom of the shoe, a reinforced nylon outsole provides plenty of stiffness for wattage transfer to the pedal. Lastly, the shoes are compatible with 2 and 3-bolt cleat systems.

i havent purchased new Cycling Shoes in 15 years. I have several pairs of Nike Poggios and a pair of Lance 4's that have served me well. I have several friends that have been less than pleased with their Boa equipped shoes. I have always been happy with Velcro and the ratchet buckle as the Copal II's are. Ive put 100 miles on these shoes and they are very comfortable, no hot spots for me. The tongue is generously padded and they hold my foot tightly without excessive pressure. The footbox is roomier than most cycling shoes with a normal D width. The sole is stiff for a non Carbon construction. I generally wear a 44, which I originally ordered, but they were to big. I returned them for the 43 which fit perfectly. Most reviews suggested ordering the next size up, but that wasnt the case for me. I ordered my normal size and had to go down. My foot measured 26.8 cm. I plan to order the Black as well. So overall I am beyond pleased with these shoes, Im able to pedal much more efficiently in these shoes.

These are exactly like the image. They fit good and for the price, can’t complain. You have to buy the cleats separate but I’m sure you know that. These are also good for people with wide feet but they aren’t wide - they basically have a rubber like material around the pinky area that stretches very easily if you have weird shape feet. I’m happy with my purchase.
