Ventilation, meet wind protection. That might as well be the tagline of the Louis Garneau Cabriolet Men's Jacket, which features a unique removable-sleeve construction that lets you armor up against chilly gusts while giving you the possibility to cool down if things heat up on the road.
The secret is in the removable sleeves and back panel, which attach with magnets to make a windproof layer when you need one, and quickly detach to expose the mesh back panels and underarms if you're looking to increase ventilation. Sleeves or no, the Hex O2 fabric efficiently cuts the wind, while the inner zipper flap blocks drafts and the zipper garage prevents chin irritation.
The details are all there, too, with stretch trim at the wrists, a drawcord at the hem, and safety-boosting reflective accents at the front, back, and sleeves. Zippered pockets at the front and back provide convenient spots for snacks and tools, while the hidden media pocket keeps your phone or radio secure and has a cord port for easy, tangle-free earphone routing.

Nice lightweight jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XXL
- Height: 6'2"

I've used this jacket for Mt biking 3-4x now in 40-50 deg temps, wearing a light base layer and jersey underneath. I've been very comfortable in it. In these temps with a light wind I could have rode with just a base layer underneath. Haven't used for road biking yet, I think it will work well, I may need to add a heavier base layer depending on temps and wind. Doesn't flap or parachute in the wind like some do!
