Why We Like The Lib Technologies Golden Orca Snowboard

With the evolved Golden Orca, Lib Tech has once again re-written the book on designing freestyle boards that allow us to float through magnificent backcountry powder. Their line of near-perfect and pro-designed Orcas have been merged into one to take this dreamy deck to the next level. Intended as a daily driver, its construction is perfect for powder days but also has the technical features to rip on groomers, even in less-than-ideal conditions. On this board's terrain of choice, the long, floaty nose easily surfs through deep snow, while its switch-friendly tail sails on takeoffs and landings. The Golden Orca is volume shifted so Lib Tech recommends we ride it 1-3cm shorter than our normal boards.

Amazing Board

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
157
Height:
6' 2"
Weight:
180

Got the opportunity to ride it in roughly 16 inches of powder first day and it rode like a dream. Floats beautifully through powder and when paired with medium/stiff bindings is super responsive. The board will even charge through chunder like a champ. Would definitely recommend going with the Lib Tech suggested size drop
