There's no need to conjure up all-terrain freestyle potions when you're riding on the Lib Tech Banana Magic BTX Snowboard. This spellbinding snowboard features an Enhanced Banana profile with a responsive flex that balances out the board's accentuated center rocker. Even though it's a twin-shaped board, the extreme amount of rocker excels when you're slashing fresh turns through the trees and dropping into deep snow.
For unrelenting grip across steeps and bulletproof snow, elliptical camber under each binding is combined with Magne-Traction edges that are more serrated than normal. Another unique feature is the board's deeper sidecut, which turns quickly in close situations, such as tight tree runs and narrow chutes. Ultimately, these design considerations make the Banana Magic a great carver, especially considering its substantial amount of rocker.
New for this season, it's upgraded with Firepower construction for a feathery board that's smoother than before. This construction ditches toxic fiberglass for the snappy response of Basalt volcanic fibers. It then incorporates Balsa/Paulownia/Aspen/Columbian Gold into the core for a board that's shockingly light underfoot, yet still stable and responsive when you're committing to rowdy lines and bigger freestyle features. As with all of Lib's boards, the UHMW sidewalls stand up to substantial abuse. There's also an upgraded sintered base that's tougher and faster than Lib's standard TNT base.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I agree with the other reviewer talking about the lack of float. I ordered a Magic a couple years back. Looking at the board in person, and seeing the specs, you would think this thing is a great powder freestyle stick. But it's not unfortunately. I think this is the problem with CRC in general. Turn initiation is amazing, and these are pretty fun boards to carve with. But the float is just lacking. I've joined the RCR revolution and don't see myself going back.
Pop is average on this board. As with most Lib Techs (and Never Summers), you trade resin (dampening) for pop. It's a trade off that doesn't work for me unfortunately.
If you like groomers and switch riding, this board is great. If you like a damp board that absorbs a lot of chatter, it's a great board.
As a former TRice owner as well, the T Rice is a much better better. They both have a similar flex, but the C2BTX adds more snap.
I walked away from the Banana Magic saying, "well, it's a snowboard". Nothing special.

This board looks amazing!! It decribes itself to be even better... I bought it and took it out a few times now in the powder and I cant feel this great floating everyone keeps talking about. I set my bindings back today on a 161cm and it still was nose diving. And I was leaning back as hard as I could most the time. The semi directional T Rice floats way better. This board rides like a shorter twin board that is to big for the park but to short for the deep. It should come in a 163cm or a 161.5 semi directional freeride shape with slightly setback inserts if it wants to claim great floating. Maybe more rocker and less camber by the ends? I dont know? Just doesnt crush pow like I had hoped it was gonna. Wasnt as light as I thought it should be either for having the FP construction. Was fast on flat smooth surfaces. Didnt handle chop to well either. Legs are pretty beat up from the shockwaves. Sick artwork though!!

This is my second Lib tech board and it never fails to satisfy.
Bought this as a gift

For the lucky few reading this, wondering on what lib tech they want, know this, the Banana is Magic! And I mean that when I say it; there's something different about picking up a Banana Magic. Got this for the brother-in-law, still haven't been able to wipe the smile off his face. This board has all the right elements so if you're looking for the right board, well here it is. A perfect combo of shape and magna traction this board rips everything. I think the float is what gets me, it's so effortless but it just begs to rip more and more. Seen him float the deep stuff, also seen him rip ice when everyone falls on there ass. Amazing board, it's a privilege to get to ride one.
Handcrafted in the U.S.
Aside from added Firepower, is this the same BTX banana we are used to in the past?
Aside from the awesome graphics and FP construction, which is Lib Tech's lightest and eco-friendly construction, you are getting the same board as previous seasons Banana Magic.
