Tech Drive High-Volume Pump
The Lezyne Tech Drive HV Pump is a life-saver when goat heads attack. Offering lightweight design, and inflation efficiency that rivals most floor pumps, the Tech Drive HV is a trail-ready hand pump that you'd be happy to use at home.
The Lezyne Tech Drive HV Pump features a CNC-machined aluminum handle, barrel, and shaft. The use of rigid, precise materials allows the Tech Drive HV to inflate tires to riding pressure with 30% less strokes than conventional hand pumps. The over-sized piston and handle are integrated into the body of the pump, and form a sleek unassuming design.
The Tech Drive HV Pump comes outfitted with the Lezyne ABS Flex Hose. This feature is a huge ergonomic advantage for roadside inflation. With the ABS Flex Hose, you don't have to strain away at precise valve angles. Simply fit the Slip-Fit System valve head to the stem, and pump away at an angle of your choosing. The Flex Hose is also equipped with the Air Bleed System for even greater accuracy in pressure regulation. For a low-profile, the Carbon Drive 2 utilizes a compact design that stows the hose inside the pump handle when you're not using it.
The Lezyne Tech Drive HV Pump is available in sizes Small (170mm, 111g) and Medium (216mm, 127g), and includes a Composite Matrix mounting bracket. The Tech Drive HV has a maximum of 90psi, and is compatible with Presta and Schrader Valve fittings, via its reversible hose.

Have to be VERY strong to use it
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought

On an empty tire it works great. At 10psi it gets tough to use. At 20psi it took all my strength to work the pump. I tapped out at about 25psi. No where near enough to be useful for inflating tires on the road. 90psi stated has to be aspirational for the World's Strongest Man competition. I used my floor pump to check the pressures alternating with this pump as I tested it before mounting it on the bike. I'm probably average strength for athletically oriented middle-aged men.

Lightweight and compact high volume pump
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The CNC aluminum construction keeps the weight low on this pump. I bought the medium size and it fits well in a backpack or hip pack. The small size is small enough to be carried in a jersey pocket. The barrel is actually pretty large so it inflates tires quicker than other portable pumps I've tried. The hose is nice for on-trail repairs because you have a little room to move the pump around vs. a design where the pump head attaches directly to the valve. Integrated storage for the hose keeps things clean. This is a high volume design so it works well with mountain bike and gravel tires, but may not be able to inflate road tires to high enough pressures. No issues with durability so far.

Easy to use

As with most Lezyne frame pumps, this one is equally as good. with the high volume chamber, pumping up regular mountain bike tires up to fat sizing is a breeze. With the added ease of the flexible hose, I don't have to worry about air escaping through the connection between the valve and hose, as well as, ripping off the valve to the tube.

Not Compatible with Tubeless Tires
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This pump pulls the threaded inner part of tubeless valves out when used with tubeless tires. It's incredibly frustrating to need to pump on the side of a trail and then have it repeatedly pull tubeless valves apart. It may be a good option for high volume tubes, but look elsewhere for a pump that works with tubeless tires.

Never ride without it
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I always keep a spare tube and this pump in my pack! The pump is great because it is lightweight and pretty small. I always buy Lezyne products because you can purchase replacement parts for their pumps. The HV pump is perfect for pumping up mountain bike tires quickly. I would recommend this pump to anyone!

Excellent

I was up in a mountain and noticed that the back tire was a little low on air, I was glad I carried this pump to avoid issues during the return.

The best

reviewing again because I bought 2. These are amazing - the other day I got a small sidewear tear that the stans wouldnt repair, and this thing had enough juice to inflate it faster that it would deflate to let me ride out the last mile of trail (with a couple inflation stops)

The best

Mount this under my water bottle cage, it's a really solid connection even with abuse on my mtb. It's a high volume pump, much easier to inflate 29" tires than other pumps I've had. Seems really high quality and I like the detachable hose, makes it a really easy process. I now have one for each bike

Perfect!

I bought this as a backup- I usually use C02- and its perfect. Its light, fits perfect into the Osprey Tool Roll, and pumps up tires. The hose is also a plus because you don't wreck your valve stem when you are pumping. Sweet!

Sweet Design
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This unique design works very well. It is compact sitting in the mounting bracket, and delivers good pressure when hooked up to the extendible hose. The hose also provides some nice flexibility, so you are less likely to break a tube anywhere around the valve.

This isn't like your traditional pump and you have to screw in the hose. After buying a pump online and having the pump be worthless I was hesitant as I didn't want the same experience. However, this pump works like a champ and comes apart for easy storage in your pack, definitely recommend.

Works like a charm

This thing will get you home. Supporting both a cartridge and a manual pump is key for days when the air just won't stay in the tire.

Good design
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've had quite a few mini-pumps before - some good and many bad. I've gotten to be very picky when it comes to buying a pump. So far I am very please with this one. Its small size belies its appreciable output. The ABS hose also impresses. The hose makes it much easier to quickly and securely connect the pump to a valve stem.

Works great

I bought the small size from backcountry a few weeks ago on a killer 50% off deal. I wanted a compact, reliable pump as a backup to CO2. I used it for the first time last weekend on the trail. I came across someone trying to add air to their tire. Her pump was broken, so we used this one. No problems at all. It takes up minimal space in a hydration pack & works on Presta & Schrader valves.

Valve stems need not fear.
Love this pump for its portability and compact design. It is the first pump I've owned that uses a hose to attach to the valve stem which prevents damage and stress on it that usually leads to failure. This thing is barely noticed in my pack and always there when I need it. I can get my tires pumped up and ready to roll in a few minutes until I get to a floor pump at my house.

Does this come with or is a cage mount available?

The inner part is called a "valve core" and if you tighten those well, then threading a hose on/off is no problem. Similar to using a presta valve adapter (to convert to schrader interface) for when seating tubeless tires using a compressor.
