Lezyne Steel Drive Floor Pump

Add Protect+ Powered by Extend™

The promise of steel.

Lezyne's Steel Drive Floor Pump is designed to be the last floor pump you ever buy, and while that might be bad news for Lezyne's prospects of repeat business, it's good news for you. Lezyne consistently delivers pumps with solid metal construction and timeless wooden handles, and the Steel Drive is no exception, featuring, as its name suggests, a steel barrel and aluminum base with a solid wooden handle.

The pump is capable of filling anything from knobby CX race tires to your everyday road tires with up to 220PSI, which you'll be able to keep track of on a large, easy-to-read pressure gauge. Compatibility isn't an issue for the Speed Chuck head either, whose 90-degree bend allows it to easily work with disc wheels as well as Presta, Dunlop, Schrader valves, and which is equipped with ABS1 Pro technology to allow for minute, precise air pressure adjustments as you're filling your tires.

A superb pump

I've put it through the wringer

I like Lezyne pumps because you screw on the nozzle as opposed to pushing a clip on head. It works better because I have popped tubes (Latex) before just by pushing to hard to seat the head on other pumps. The Lezyne eliminates this problem. It looks great, works great and my first one has been in service for at least 5 years. We bought a second one to have one in the garage and one in the bike shop, but the old one is going strong. It's not rocket science to build a bike pump, but Lezyne has done a superb job in building this pump and it's still pretty reasonably priced.

The Chuck is a bit finicky. It’s easy to put onto the valve but often gets blocked have to take it on and off multiple times until it works. It also squeaks a lot.

Screw-on connector can eat presta cores

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Instead of tightening onto the valve stem, my pump tightened onto the presta valve core, and when I unscrewed, it pulled the core out with it -- which required special tools to remove and obviously, let all the air out of the tire. I am exchanging for a version with a clamp instead of a screw on connector to avoid this potential issue again. Great build quality in general though.

This thing is a joke! Have fun trying to figure out how to use it! I've been using presta valves for years and no issues with Wal-mart pumps. Thought I would upgrade and buy a nice pump. I watched over 35 minutes of videos on this pump and no one can explain how to use it! Buyer beware, DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP

Really? I've had mine for 6 years or so with 0 issues.

This is the best pump by far I've ever used! No problems after 3 years of use.

I've put it through the wringer

I own both the digital and standard gauge version of this pump. For the price this is the best built pump on the market. It is so solid and lasts forever. I would highly recommend Lezyne pumps.

Great Pump

I've used it several times

I bought this because my old specialized pump failed and a friend recommended a Lezyne. This pump is much more solid feeling when pumping. I can easily pump with one hand. The hose is long so I can check my tire while it's still connected to the pump. The thread on chuck takes some getting used to but now I love how secure it is.
