A must-have device for serious riders, the Mega XL GPS Bike Computer is the latest and greatest offering in GPS technology from Lezyne, boasting a large 2.7-inch, 200x400 high-resolution screen that displays real-time ride stats, receives incoming texts, calls, and notifications from your smartphone, and turn-by-turn navigation. The Mega XL distinguishes itself from Lezyne's other new GPS offering, the Mega C, by featuring a display that can be situated both vertically and horizontally, and also has a greater battery life that runs for a staggering 48 hours.
The Mega XL can simultaneously pair with Bluetooth Smart or ANT+ enabled power meters, heart rate monitors, and speed or cadence sensors, showing you real-time stats such as calories burned, elevation, barometer, accelerometer, laps and lap averages, and grade of your ride. The free Ally V2 smartphone app also allows you to receive incoming texts, phone calls, and message app notifications to keep you connected to society, even if you're off on an all-day ride in the mountains. The GPS/Glonass system gives you turn-by-turn navigation, offline maps and re-routing, and custom route building to help your ride stay on track from start to finish.
It operates through an intuitive four-button operation to keep you focused on the road ahead, while the battery life indicator shows you how much power is left in both your Mega XL and the paired device you are using it with. Speaking of the battery, this GPS computer uses a lithium-polymer battery that is able to run for a whopping 48 hours straight, and charges up easily with an included micro USB charging cable. An extremely weather-resistant construction keeps things operating smoothly when you get caught in a passing rain storm, and the included X-Lock mount ensures a secure, stable ride over bumpy, uneven roads and trails. The Mega XL can easily be connected to riding apps TrainingPeaks, Today's Plan, and Strava to follow starred segments and routes or structured workouts, as well as allow friends and family members to follow along with your ride in real-time.

Great battery life and accurate stats
- I've put it through the wringer
I recently took this on a 400-mile bike packing trip in Scotland and I would not have made it without this GPS. There were times that the trail was no more than a line of grass that bent in a slightly different direction than the grass around it. Without the navigation feature on this thing, I would probably still be in the Highlands trying to make friends with a herd of sheep. The battery life is truly outstanding, at one point in the trip when we were a good hour and a half from the next opportunity to grab some electricity the battery dropped down to 15% but we still made it with time to spare! Now that I'm back in the States I find I only need to charge it about once a week and could probably push it quite a bit further than that. My only complaint is that the arrow that represents you on the navigation screen is much too large. It covers the equivalent of about 30 yards on the screen and makes it hard to tell if you just missed the turn or if you still have a little ways to go. Other than that I have no problems with this little computer!

Solid Easy to Use computer Great Value
- I've put it through the wringer
- 5` 10"
- 195 lbs
bought this as a replacement to an old garmin 805. It has a clean look with all the features and more than I would every use. I've been using this for about 3 months and have been super happy with the setup and functionality. Mostly I use it for a basic computer. I like the big screen and the phone connectivity. The navigation is really cool. I can also upload rides when I go to a new place. ( I travel for work alot) I do a little bit of HR and power training and the screen is great having both metrics on screen. I liked the Garmin but for the price and features this one is much better.
