Value priced side-loading cage

Right side open

So, there is a specific cage that the manufacturer of my bike recommends, and it's a really nice carbon side-loader. Nothing against that cage, but if you're trying to save dollars and not grams...the Flow SL is the best bang for your buck. It holds the bottle perfectly over rough, chunky terrain and yet the bottle is still easy enough to grab when needed. Maybe someday, I'll swap it over to a light weight cage that echos the level of craftsmanship on my bike and saves some weight. Until then, this thing works perfectly fine!

Great design and value

Familiarity:

Fit:
True to size

I have a tight triangle on my full suspension bike (YT IZZO) and needed a cage which would fit a small/squat bottle and allow me to pull it out from the side rather than the top. This fit the bill perfectly.

R on downtube, L on seat tube

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Looks nice, and is easy-on and off. I ordered the R side. It's important to note, this will come out the right if mounted on the downtube and the left if mounted on the seat tube.

Love the cage. Purchased the hyper green. Color matches perfectly with my Specialized 5.0 Ordering the left hand model too.

great bottle cage

Familiarity:

If you're a weight weenie, this isn't for you. The bottle is easy in easy out and so far holding up good. I slam my bottle in the cage while peddling and it works well.

Try To Remember If You're A Lefty

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Well, hopefully this is the goofiest employee review I'll ever write. We were running a little low on cages, and I saw this one came in purple, and honestly kind of impulse bought it. Lo and behold, I did not think the situation through at all. I got it on my bike yesterday and went to see if I could grab my bottle while riding, so I could report back on the quality and ease of use. Unfortunately, all I can report is that I ride left handed, and I bought myself a left-entry bottle cage – so that's pretty much a complete bust. I leaned down and ended up with a handful of bottle cage and no bottle. It did keep a solid hold on the bottle, though! Seemed like it would be pretty easy to operate if you get the correct entry side; the plastic has a nice little bit of flex to it. It also fits super nicely on my tiny XS frame. Just double check which is your dominant hand before ordering.

Great Cage

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Holds the bottle sturdily and very easy to get in & out.

>Rating: 5

priced right, holds in tight spots

Got a couple full squish rigs that benefit from side entry cages. After busting up some overpriced carbon ones, moved to these. Durable, holds the bottle and accessible from the side at a good price to boot. Winner./

Holds things

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is a nice cage. It holds my water bottle or my Lezyne flow caddy storage bottle. My enduro bike only has room for a cage on the downtube, so I like having the left handed version. This allows me to keep my dominant (right) hand on the bars and use the rear brakes if I need to while trying to hydrate on the fly. I dig the purple color!

Grab Water

Familiarity:

Great, lightweight bottle cage. I got the left handed cage, which allows you to grab the bottle with your left hand if the cage is positioned on the top of the bottom tube.

Holds a bottle splendidly

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This cage holds on to water bottles well and the side entry makes getting the bottle in and out an easy task. I first bought these cages for my gravel bike and have been very happy with them. They're light enough for me and look nice with or without bottles. I ordered this one to slap on my mountain bike for rides when I don't want to carry a hydration pack.

Easy Access and Secure

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

A "no frills" water bottle cage that securely holds a full sized water bottle. Either L or R load option lets load from whichever side is more comfortable. This is probably the most popular selling cage sold by Backcountry, and it is the cage we use on all the Backcountry.com demo bikes. Highly recommend!

Solid Cage

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This cage holds on to bottles really well and the side entry makes getting the bottle in and out of the tight area beneath my shock on my Hightower LT super easy.

>Rating: 5

Great minimal cage

Works really well with my size small Santa Cruz HTLT, where there's not much room on the frame. Side entry is key, an works great.

It works!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've hit a bunch of jumps with this and haven't lost a bottle yet!

>Rating: 4

Good value for the money

Not heavy, hold the bottle in place, and looks nice.

What You Want for Your Mountain Bicycle

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This cage holds securely, looks decent, is easy to take bottles out of and put them back in, comes in right and left-handed versions, and fits in tight frames. It is durable and reasonably priced. For being nothing special, it is pretty special!

Fits XS MTB frame. Side-loader works great in limited frame space. Item is exactly what you'd expect.

Have a few of these now and they're a super great deal. Color options are a plus too.

when I choose right, is this means if I'm right handed and it is open on the right side?.

>Rating:

Just to clarify: does the right/left refer to which side the bottle is loaded/unloaded? Thanks!
