    Warm toes!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These socks work as advertised! I've had no problems with the app and it works well. The Battery life is good but I have't had them on for more than a few hours. The fit is great and the sock is comfortable, the battery stays in place better than I thought it would be before I used them. The downside is the price but cold and painful feet can ruin a blue bird day!

Great for the racer in your life.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

These socks were purchased as a gift, but I understand are "absolutely necessary" for the arctic cold snaps that hit the northeast. These socks make training on the very cold days (-20F to 15F) a little more bearable. Using the Lenz app to pair was easy and while you can control the battery packs manually, bluetooth control makes it a lot easier. While the batteries won't last more than 4 hours on full power, running at 60% can last considerably longer. These socks may not be needed everyday, but you will be happy you have them.

    Needs improvement

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased these socks two years ago and have used them for two seasons. I ski 10-20 times per season which includes some backcountry skinning. The idea has merit, but the overall function needs some work. The heating element is a small circle in the center of the ball of your foot, and when you're skiing you tend to put a lot of pressure on that spot, so any setting above low can get too hot, but only in that little spot. It has trouble warming my actual toes, which was the original purpose (working on mild frostbite from skiing too much growing up). I believe Lenz has a newer model on their website with a wrap around heat element that should take care of the toes, but I don't have the money to buy another pair. Probably my biggest complaint are the batteries. For $300+ you would think a battery would last more than two seasons. Right now I have one that will last a full ski day on low, and the other that won't make it to lunch time. I use the app and turn the LED lights off to try and save a little, but regardless, one battery seems worthless. I emailed their customer service and they offered me a whopping 20% discount on new $110 (each) replacement batteries, AND free shipping. What a deal, except that I had already paid over $300.

If you decide that this sock may work for you, and truly it's not a bad idea, I suggest getting the newer version that covers the toes, and getting the larger batteries. I think they make an 1800 battery now. It would be worth the extra cost and would last a full day and then some. Overall the sock functions as advertised, and the battery stays in place under the folded over sock, I don't even notice it. I would NOT recommend using while skinning, you'll have quick blisters as the wires run down the back of the sock and under the foot.

Dad use to have cold feet

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Dad is getting old and having issues with cold toes while working or playing outside in cold temps. I bought these after talking to a customer that like them. He loves them. He says it's simple to use and it doesn't take long to get used to the heating elements in the sock. The battery folds up into the sock well and is easy to control.

    Warm Feet!

got these as a gift and tried them out...WOW! My feet are toasty warm for the winter. No more freezing toes and easy to use...No hassle of wires and batteries on boots and easy to control with the app.

Thank you. But I have 2 follow up questions:

      1) Isn't the one you suggested the same product with a different fit to the socks themselves?

      2) Is the "slim fit" referring to the width of the foot or is it actually a thinner layer of material (thinking ski racing socks vs. thick cushy warm socks)?

I guess that could be asked in one question: What's the difference between this product and the not thin fit (i.e. regular) socks?

      Unanswered Question

Just received these socks for Christmas 2016 and have been wearing them skiing and love them. How do I wash the socks?
