Great Hiking Staff
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Height:
- 5' 11"
- Weight:
- 210
I found I hike better with a single longer staff rather than two standard hiking poles. Holding onto one stick is easier for grasping things for stabilization on steep climbs. I also noticed for me anyway, I step out with a more natural gait using one pole vs two. I also use the top horizontal section of the handle when descending. It keeps my wrist in a more neutral position.
