DBX 6.5 Carbon Neck Brace

Safety shouldn’t feel like a burden, especially when you’re going big. The DBX 6.5 Neck Brace builds upon the success of the Pro Lite and 5.5 braces to offer Leatt’s lightest, most ventilated neck brace yet. The DBX 6.5 features an ultra lightweight carbon Kevlar and fiberglass-reinforced nylon chassis for increased rigidity without sacrificing weight. The collar offers superb support, and in addition to providing extra impact protection, the EVA padding and collarbone cutouts ensure comfort and mobility. A snap-off thoracic strut is included, which cushions your spine but breaks off when needed to reduce impact on your body. Leatt also improves the thoracic adjustment to have 0, 5, and degree adjustability, enhances side helmet clearance, and offers easy built-in forward and backward adjustment that no longer requires tools or extra parts.

  • New MaxiWeave Carbon matrix
  • Lightweight (around 600g) and rigid
  • New helmet rim striking profile
  • Improved helmet side clearance
  • On-board size adjustment (no parts or tools needed)
  • 4-angle rear thoracic adjustment

Light weight, low profile, added safety.

I've used it several times

I have used the 5.5 and it did it's job, now I have purchased the 6.5 and I'm impressed. Lighter, low profile and easy to set up, glad I'm running the Leatt DBX 6.5.

amazing brace

I've put it through the wringer

Really been loving this. Very comfortable. Hardly even notice it's there.

Where did it go?

I've used it several times

This is my first brace, but I must say that once I put it on, I forget it is there. I've taken one bad crash with it on, I don't know if it helped or not, but my neck was not hurt. I wear it with the Leatt 3DF body armor suit and it fits nicely and doesn't move. Great purchase from a great company.

Hopefully it will serve you well at the Summer Gravity Camp in Whistler in a couple weeks!

As a whole a safe investment

I've put it through the wringer

Before Leatt began making bike specific braces, the DH bike world was using the moto specific ones because it was a sound investment for when you were hurtling yourself down a mountain at break neck speeds. In the picture is the carbon moto brace, the bike specific ones are only better. The size chart is easy to read and determine what size you need and there is plenty of adjustment options to get it dialed in for your specific needs. The instructions are very detailed and there are numerous videos on the line to help if you don't seem to figure out how an adjustment works. The closure buckle is simple, yet secure, and though it looks pretty bulky, as a rider you honestly forget that you even have it on. No matter what terrain you are going down rocky or smooth, they designed this for minimal movement regardless. I forgot I was wearing mine most of the time. Whether you are a recreational rider that likes to tear it up in the bike park or DH trails at your local resort in the summer, or finding those illegal trails, it is nice to have the piece of mind that if you do end up in a major accident, it won't be as bad as if you weren't wearing your brace.

If you're considering one, buy one.

I've used it several times

I've worn this on every ride that I take my full-face helmet ride since I've gotten it. Once the brace is on, I hardly ever notice it while riding?it's actually quite comfortable when it's on. I am yet to be able to attest the brace's ability to prevent injury in the case of a bad crash (thank god), but I definitely feel much safer wearing this. It's very sturdy, and just by pushing down on it you can feel how well it disperses the force, which would usually go directly into your neck, across other parts of the body.
