    Airflex Elbow Guard

It never fails: skip pads and you’ll eat it three minutes into your October ridge ride. Instead of enjoying the crisp air and tacky dirt, you’ll limp down the trail with two elbows made of ground meat. Leatt’s Airflex Elbow Guard nips this particular problem in the bud, with rugged but lightweight Armorgel padding that hardens on impact to absorb impact without cramping your riding style. The breathable MoistureCool sleeve doesn’t let you get swampy, either, so you can focus on the ride, not on how soggy your arms are.

    Great pads!!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have used them, love the protection and feel of the sleeve, padding and fabric construction. Best pads I've owned to date and I have tried several of them.

    Pro level elbow protectors

I ordered these since the G-forms weren't in stock in my size. A pro downhiller friend had recommended Leatt pads so I gave them a whirl for my enduro races. They are built for the long haul and are comfortable enough to wear all day.

      Light weight, breathable, protective

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Height: 6'3"
      • Weight: 185lbs

I wanted something that gave me some added protection, but didn't take away from my riding experience and these nailed it. They conform to your arm and you forget you're wearing them after the first 10s of riding. According to the size chart I should have been L, but after trying those on they were not loose, but not tight enough. Not so loose where they would fall down just walking around in, but loose enough I could feel them move when shaking my arms. The mediums originally felt too tight, but after wearing them 3 times now, I love them and fit great without moving an ounce.

Thanks, for your comment. I bought the small, a bit tight over the bicep, and too full over the elbow. I don't think they will move around. I was going to return them because of the tightness at the upper band, but after your review, maybe I will see if they loosen up a bit.
I expect, but rarely get a good fit, being a women in a field where products are designed and marketed for men. It did make me feel good about my biceps!
