Better than expected

I've put it through the wringer

I've been a machinist / mechanic and furniture maker for decades so I'm a stickler for good tools and as a general rule I usually chalk multi tools up to being junk. Anything that is supposed to preform so many tasks can't possibly do any of them well... Until my boss talked me into buying one of these. I'm amazed at how well it's made. It feels good in the hand and has held up well for everything I have asked of it. It has occasionally saved a walk to the other side of the plant to grab a tool when encountering an unexpected maintenance task. Although it is slightly heavy for backpacking in my oppinion, it is very handy to have a pair of plires when the bungee in one of your tent poles decides to let go in the backcountry! I would recommend ☺

Hello Garrett, which version did you get? If it's the black oxide, did it come with the bit driver extension rod as well as the built-in exchangeable bit driver as depicted?

I ordered this as a gift for my dad. He never goes anywhere without his Leatherman strapped to his belt. He mentions the lack of need for any other tools because of how reliable and usable this tool is. I recommend this for everyone due to the functionality and convenience of having all the necessities in one place.

Good Multitool

I honestly can't really add to what others have said. It's a solid multitool easy to use and comfortable. Odds are you will loose it before you can break it, as I did with mine....

Never leave home without it

I recently lost my 200 Supertool. No suitable substitute was found. The 300 is beefier with solid latch to lock and close. Very good upgrade through the history of the Venerable Leatherman Predecessors.

Best pocket tool on the market

I've used the super tool for years, and really enjoy the simplicity of it. None of the accessories on the tool are frivolous, all useful and durable. However, the wire cutters have historically worn out before the rest of the tool, however as of the newest model, they appear to be slightly reinforced as to provide more durability. Always have loved the Supertool, and will continue to be a consumer of Leatherman products.

Upgraded from sub-par to awesome

I have had Gerber multi tools for years, always seemed to break a blade or something. Finally relegated my Gerber to my tool box permanently and added this to the constant rotation on my belt with my Fenix light and CRKT pocket knife

Supertool 300

I have used one of these for over 10 years but had to get a new one because the other one was stolen. I love it because it has everything I need and the new design locks the tools in place which is an aprovement and this seems to be more rugged then my old on. Overall very happy with leatherman and this model.

how do the blades and various tools fold...

how do the blades and various tools fold back in. They lock in place but they won't go back easy

should be a spring-loaded tab or detent. seems to vary with each model. never force the blades/tools back in place.
