XT 110 LV Freetour Ski Boot
The Lange Women's XT 110 LV Freetour Ski Boot is ready to tear up steep powder lines in the backcountry, hike to the good stashes in the resort, and rip spring corn in the backside bowls. Its stiff 110 flex will give advanced skiers the power needed to drive skis down steep faces and technical terrain, and the low-volume 97-millimeter last adds a precise, performance-oriented fit that skiers with narrower feet will especially love. Lange's patented Power V-Lock 2.0 walk mode offers an impressive 43 degrees of cuff rotation for maximum mobility on the uphill, yet doesn't sacrifice any downhill performance thanks to the metal-on-metal locking mechanism.
A Grilamid shell keeps the XT 110 lightweight for efficiency on the skin track and maintains impressive rebound and responsiveness on the down for quick energy transfer to your skis. The liner features high-density foam in key areas for a cushy fit and feel and is thermo-moldable so you can customize it to the specific needs of your foot. Thinsulate insulation in the liner keeps your toes warm on chilly days in the backcountry or at the resort, preventing you from having to sacrifice the line you've been eyeing to go get warm.

Great all around boot
- I've used it several times
I got these for a friend who recently moved to the mountains and is a solid intermediate skier than can ski some advanced terrain. Here is what she said: I got these boots to use mainly for resort skiing and some light touring and they feel great for both. The boots work well in walk mode but are even better for days riding the lifts. They feel nice and stiff going downhill.

The perfect fit
Sturdy boot light enough to tour! I tried on over 10 pairs of boots and this was the only boot that fit my wide foot without any lateral pressure (I have small bunions on each foot). I have a high arch so I had to have the boots heat molded to offload the pressure on the dorsum of the navicular bone. Afterward, the boots fit perfectly. I had no pain after a 4 day stretch of alpine skiing at Whistler. With regard to touring, my foot slipped a bit up and down in walk mode, but this has been remedied by a 1/4" SVST heel lift. Love these boots and am excited to use them for the next 10 years! I wear a size 6.5- 7 and bought these in a 23.5.

I noticed this is a "low volume" boot - does that just mean that it has a 97mm last, or are there other parts of the boot that have less volume, as well. I ski the RS series, and am wondering if the fit of the Freetour is similar to that, or even narrower. Thanks!

Hey! The boots are based around a 97mm last, so they are lower in volume in that regard in addition to having smaller measurements in every dimension. Expect the instep (the are that contacts the top of your foot) to be lower than a regular boot too. The RS boots come in 100 and 97mm lasts so it could be comparable, depends on the boot. As with any boot, a good fitter can work wonders to get the most comfort and performance out of you ski boot.
