Great boots. I use them for SAR work and they are a great all around boot. I can climb steep snow and hike miles in them. They don't get to hot however they do not breath very well. The vibram sole is also very thin.

Quality alpine boots

These boots are amazing! I don’t think I could design a better boot for the PNW, and I’m interested to try them out in South America for Alpamayo. They are phenomenal for the approach, with enough rocker to give a pretty natural gait but they’re plenty stiff enough for my automatic crampons on vertical ice so far. I’ve seen a couple reviewers say that they’re a bit shorter on the calf than say the Nepal’s, so you’ll need strong calf muscles and good technique on steep ice, but I have climbed in both and didn’t notice a huge difference. That’s just my experience though.

I bought these as an alternative to my Nepals for winter snowshoeing and cold-weather volcano ascents. They are AWESOME. The fit is similiar to my other Sportivas, the padding is warm, and they weigh less than my Nepals. They are still stiff like winter mountaineering boots should be, but they feel a bit less stiff than others. The rubber is sticky and great on wet rock. I am considering ditching my Nepals having taken them out from October to December. I've read they are good ice climbing boots, so this will make the detrmination

Amazing Mountaineering Boot

I've had this boot for a couple months now, taking them on multiple trips, but the highlight of my experience so far with them was climbing Mt. Humphrey's in Flagstaff, AZ this past weekend after it got belted with 3 feet of snow. It was 15°F/-9°C when I got to the saddle, and I didn't have snow shoes with me, so I was waist deep in snow. The boots performed absolutely incredibly, keeping my feet completely warm and dry the entire time, and the built-in gaiter did really well keeping the snow and ice out of them. I would highly recommend these boots.

Here's hoping they last as long as my Nepal Evos

Excellent traction on steep rock and forest slopes. Nice and light, not sure about their waterproof qualities as I've only climbed in dry weather. Fingers crossed.

Break in time was super quick. They feel amazing.

I got them 3 months ago and have worn them on tower work and hiking in and out, they are perfect. Love them.
