Incredible value

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
46

I bought these on a 40% off clearance sale and they were arguably too inexpensive for the quality. Impeccable build quality. They are extremely stiff and took a good week or so of daily walks to get cozy. The extra removable tongue took a little getting used to but now is no issue. These feel so sturdy and tough and I expect they will last an extremely long time.

This company’s incredible. The business model they have in place is a winner. The Lasportiva boots i purchased are wonderful. They’re true to size, so comfortable. Lacing system’s gr8. Like walking on pillows. The weight of the boots is perfect as well. I’ll for sure purchase more products from Backcountry in th future. Purchased th boots on line….four days later, pkg was @ my front door. I luv th boots and th warp speed delivery. Thanks Backcountry…you make it easy to be a satisfied customer. Jdee

The boots are everything that my husband expected and then some, although this specific pair had to be returned for a size larger for comfort, awesome. The whole return process was easy and i received my right size within days of sending my returns back. Great customer service.

Not for F.F.!!!!

Boots are very comfortable and supportive. NOT FOR FIREFIGHTING!!! I know it says in the description for post fire cleanup. But originally they were touted as firefighting boots. 1st pair....Throw away $350.00. The first version had massive failures due to delamination of the sole from the upper!! They then came out with these "WLF"(wildland firefighter). These were supposed to have an upgraded glue that could withstand the close proximity to the fire/fire line. NOPE!!!!! Another $375.00 down the drain. I also had trouble getting any help from La Sportiva. Additionally. The glue wont stand up to being kept in a "hot" environment. I have coworkers that had these boots delaminate while sitting in their trucks or in their "go bags" in the garage.

I now own two sets of the La Sportiva’s. I’ll probably never switch boots unless they change something. First set was the mountaineerings and now the glaciers. They run a little small I learned with my first set. I got a second set so they both will last a long long time. I switch them out weekly. I love these boots.

I was really hopeful that these boots would be great. What I found was that they feel like bricks with no give and very uncomfortable I really don't believe that any amount of break in would help. Had to return.

I bought this boot 1 month ago. I have to wear a boot like this every day because of a mountain climbing accident that destroyed my right foot. This boots has got to be the best fitting and most comfortable boot I've ever had I highly recommend this boot.

Initial Review

Purchased 5 sets of boots that I thought would fit my needs. My last pair of strictly hiking boots lasted 20 years and went all over the country. Four test fits and four narrow fits. I wear a medium wool sock with liner all the time with this type of boot. This boot my foot slid in and had more than enough room but not too much. I have learned the hard way on hot spots and blisters with my lighter hiking boots and fit. I'll keep you posted on how they wear. I do like their construction. I like the additional padded tongue. I like the lacing system and the sole.
