Warm breathable sweater

I had the predecessors to this sweater for six years before my wife destroyed it in a washing machine accident. Was my favorite sweater for outdoor activities. So far I like this new version even better. It keeps me warm but not sweaty across a range of activity levels. It does run large and it is thick. The lining allows it to slide well over flannel.

Too stiff

Not soft enough. Doesn’t stay close to the body when you move or raise your arms. Bulging a bit along the zipper. Maybe it’s ok as an outer layer, but not as a fleece sweater. Good quality otherwise.

Thicker and warmer than a standard lightweight fleece. Runs slightly large. If you’re on the edge between sizes, order the smaller size. Very warm, thicker fleece. Maneuverability is good for the thickness of the jacket, but not as good as some of the more lighter weight fleeces. Only have had it for 2 weeks, so not sure on durability yet.

Literally exceeded all expectations. This might become my most favorite Kuhl sweater ever...it certainly looks as though it will last me several years. It is slightly larger size-wise and much thicker than the interceptr. It's advertised as ski wear, but I live in the Pacific Northwest, and while I don't ski, this will be a go-to piece on many a chilly evening come winter. I think it looks great too (my wife agrees). Sure, a pocket for the phone would have been nice, but I don't feel I have any room for complaint -- it's a great sweater at a very reasonable price. Super satisfied.
