Splash Roll-Up Pant
The Kuhl Women's Splash Roll-Up Pant is lightweight with a soft, cottony feel, and just enough spandex in the weave to keep you moving freely on the trail. If you start to warm up, snap tabs on the lower leg let you roll up the cuffs and secure them. This also comes in handy if you come across a mountainside stream you simply have to dip your feet into. And, should you slip on a mossy rock and get a little wetter than anticipated, the Splash pant dries faster than cotton, so by the time you get back to down you'll be dry and ready to grab a quick dinner with friends.

New fit is not good
- Fit:
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- 8
- Height
- 5` 8"
- Weight
- 145 lbs
These fit nothing like the older version of these pants I currently own. I liked my old pair so much I asked for a new pair for Christmas and after just trying them on, I discovered they changed the fit and it's awful. The waist is now shorter in the front (and uncomfortable as a result) and higher, with a large gap in the back. There is now a drawstring, which I'm not a fan of, but apparently that's supposed to account for the extra room in the back of the waist. The thighs are tighter and the overall fit is awkward and uncomfortable. Because these were a gift from a relative, I doubt I'll be able to return these, but I would if I were able to. This will be the last time I order any Kuhl product online as they are really inconsistent with their sizing, but I thought they would be consistent within the exact same pant style.

These pants are perfect for hiking, backpacking, camping, or pretty much whatever. I was looking for something I could wear in the backcountry that was sturdy and I wouldn't have to worry about holes or sap getting on it. These are the perfect rugged outdoors pant. sturdy fabric that is also the perfect amount of lightweight. THEY DO RUN SMALL. I sized up and they are a teeny tiny bit baggy, but in reality that is what you want for a pant like this. Not constricting in any way. Flattering for curvier body types as well. One other thing is the colors are not quite what they appear to be in the photo. The blue is much darker, more of a teal. The green is darker like a natural army green mixed with pine. Still great colors, just not the same as the pictures.

I love the Kuhl brand but one negative about this brand is inconsistency in the sizes. Whatever your regular size is, order up a minimum of 1 size but possibly two sizes if you prefer the pants to be a little loose.

I read the reviews about these pants and sized up. I should have sized two up. First the good: they are pretty. I got the blue, and I LOVE the color. Now the bad: I wear an easy size 10. I purchased these in a 12 based on reviews and they are SO small. I can't wear them. Which actually highly annoys me, because a brand such as this should have much better quality control for what they charge. Being 2 sizes too small is a bit ridiculous, so maybe they are out of touch with normal sized women. Sigh. Long story short, size two up if you want these to fit. Probably not going to buy Kuhl's again because this is a hassle.

Just got the delivery this morning and tried it on. Like the pants a lot. I usually wear a size 8 but based on all the reviews saying it runs small I ordered the 10. The pants are too big on me, I would order size 8 next time and would say this fits true to size. Since we’re going on vacation in 3 days I have no time to return it for a smaller size and will keep it. It feels super comfortable and I don’t mind the baggy fit in the outdoors too much.

Great pair of pants - i have owned a pair for a few years, color shadow. I liked them so much I decided to order another pair in ink black. However, upon arrival, they are not black at all but a very dark grey so close to the color shadow that I already own, so I have returned them. I feel the color is misrepresented in the photo. Also, all of my pants are size 10, but in kuhl, I wear a 12.

I have several pairs of Kuhl splash pants for summer wear. My biggest complaint is I can never tell what the rise is like. These pants hang at the hip bones, and have a rise that matches. I can't wear pants that fit there. The stretch causes them to slip off (despite the "back curve", which I also love) in the rear unless I wear a belt. I know I have Kuhl pants that sit a bit closer to the waist. Despite loving the material, the stretch and the color, I must return them.

Love these pants, ordered a size 8 (as I had read the reviews here about them running small and also ordered size 6 in the Kuhl Trekr pant too. The 8 wouldn't even button but the other style (same company) different pant in the 6 fit perfectly. I am returning the size 8's for a 10. I'm just not sure how Kuhl can be off be two sizes here. Hoping the 10 work....

I am 5'10 and 136 lbs. I am long and slender. I am trying to write this to help others. I scour through the reviews for someone similar to me and really appreciate all of you out there who leave a thorough review. So here we go. I am long and slender but have a skinny waist and some hips, nothing crazy but some hips. So with that being said I purchased these in a 6 and an 8. The 6 was a no go - these definitely run small. The 8 was funky. It was tight in the hips, but the waste was gaping. So it wasn't comfortable. If I went larger it would swim on me. So I think these pants are not made for someone with some shape to them. Also I purchased the 32" inseam and that was a definite no go. I know on the Kuhl site you can purchase these at the 34" inseam. Anywho, the pants are super nice looking, but don't fit me. Bummer.

Nice pants and material, but they run about a half size to full size too small, especially in the rear. Definitely not for curvy girls. Only for slim and straight figures.

Try a different brand if you are curvy. I have a small waist but curvy rear - I ordered a size six and could barely pull them up. Sent them back and ordered an 8; the only thing bigger on the 8 is the waistband, which gaped in the back, but there was still no extra room in the backside. Too bad, because otherwise these are great looking pants. Maybe give them a try if you've got a very narrow build?

I ordered these pants in a 16 because my size 16 Kuhl shorts fit really well through the hips and thighs and are too big in the waist. These pants barely went on. All the Kuhl shirts and jackets I have run true to size. Don't know what's wrong with these.

I have five pairs of these in my closet, all size 12 purchased from another retailer. I ordered three pair from BC and two were at least a size smaller, the third pair was larger, but still smaller than my previous purchases. What's up with that? Had to return all of them!

I raise puppies for a guide dog program, mostly labs, so I’m in the woods walking every day, These pants are the best! The cotton/nylon blend is rugged and comfortable, sheds dirt and dries quickly. The 32 inch legs are long enough to cover my ankles, and I can cinch them with rubber bands to keep out ticks. The pockets are a good size without being too big and there’s enough stretch to allow me to move. And when the dogs inevitably “share” their swim, they dry quickly and shed dirt readily. I have 3 pair.

I've climbed (bouldering, sport climbing) in these for 2 yrs. I find them comfortable and allow for flexibility. But, they're better for cooler weather. They're not particularly breathable, but they ARE durable and you won't worry about tearing holes in them on the rock.

Can anyone compare the fit of these to a breathable, waterproof pant--like the Marmot Davos?

December 11, 2013
The KUHLs and the Marmot Davos are a similar cut and should fit very similar. Do keep in mind though that the Davos is a softshell and will feel heavier than the KUHL, and you probably normally layer under your Davos where you wouldn't with this pant. Though, again, they will be a very similar cut.

Jen, I'm sorry to report that Kuhl doesn't make these pants in a size that fits a 39" waist. The size 16 is cut to fit a 34-35" waist and 42-45" hips.
