Renegade Pant

Blending laid-back style with technical capabilities, the Kuhl Men's Renegade Pant gives you the look of your favorite casual pant, with an abrasion-resistant softshell fabric for robust durability. Duralux fabric is durable against scratches, rips, and tears, making this pant a great choice for hiking, climbing, and fair-weather days skiing in the backcountry. The DWR finish repels oncoming snows and dewy trailside vegetation, and keeps accidental spills from dampening your style.

Articulated knees enhance range of motion for high-stepping over trail debris and performing tricky footholds when you're working on a new sport route. The gusseted crotch allows you to stretch without worrying about premature wear or crotch blow-outs, especially while you're climbing. Eight total pockets lend versatile storage for a wide variety of outdoor excursions and daily uses, including two cell phone pockets for convenient stashing. Its Klassik fit provides added in the pant silhouette for well-developed leg muscles, and lends a casual look that transitions easily to the lodge or campsite.

I've owned multiple pairs of these pants over the years. I purchased these on line for the first time and was very satisfied with quality, shipping and delivery. I saved about 30% ordering on line and got exactly what I thought I would based on previous purchases. Sometimes, it's great to get what you expect. I wear these to work, outdoors camping, hiking and doing yard work. They breathe well and don't limit movement regardless of the use.

Perfect 3-season pants, great fit. Main issue is the dumb snap button on the waist is too weak and I pop it even though they fit beautifully. Also the Vecro on the rear seat pockets is obnoxiously loud, anything would have been better (like a zipper on the left would be great).

Purchased two pair of Renegade slacks and two pair of Renegade shorts size 36. Fit was great, enough room in seat and thighs thanks to gusseted crotch, yet still fit in waist due to natural waistband design. Took these slacks and shorts on a two week vacation to Europe. Comfortable for walking and climbing fortress walls, etc., yet versatile for dinner out at fashionable restaurants. Packed in very little space in backpack and had very little wrinkling. Great slacks and shorts. Just returned home and ordered another pair of slacks!

Guys, for real, I've never been excited over a pair a pants but the minute I pulled these out of the packaging and tried them on, I knew I'd found my new brand.. I'm 6', 175lb, true 31 waist and 34" inseam and very few companies make pants that fit me well. 30s are too small, 32s are too big. I was able to pick these up in a 31x34 and the fit is perfect. They are super comfortable and I'm extremely impressed with the attention to detail and the thought put into this garment. From the top, the button is a snap closure, which makes bathroom breaks with winter gloves easy. Then, ALLLLLL THE POCKETS! Standard 2 in the front, 2 butt pockets w/velcro enclosure, plus the two cell phone pockets in the perfect place. My phone stays secure, doesn't get in the way or want to work it's way out when I sit. But, there's more! 2 more HIDDEN zipper pockets at the knees. They are like having cargo pants without the look of cargo pants. The material is a synthetic, it beads off water and breathes nicely. These are the Kuhl-est pants I own!

I love clothes that are versatile and these pant are a perfect example. They have lots of function and are stylish enough that I can wear them professionally. They have become my essential travel pants as they are light and cope well with folding and jamming into luggage. I keep a pair in my office to change into when I bike commute in cooler temperatures. I keep a couple more pairs at home for general winter wear (in Utah, we don't need long pants for more than a few months each year (-: ). Especially fabulous is the configuration of pockets with a secure, zippered pocket for wallets and a perfectly shaped side opening for a smart phone. Both are useful in regular use but essential when traveling in cities where pickpockets are at work.

Runs small

This is a lightweight, great quality hiking pant. But for my 33 waist 34 inseam husband it ran small. We are returning and reordering. I'd say it ran almost two inches short in the inseam and 1.5 inches in the waist. On the actual item we got the inseam measures 32" with the measuring tape and the finished waist band around the circumference measured 35" Perhaps this garment was mis-tagged. as a 34x34

The new Renegade pant on this site says tapered. I DO NOT want the tapered. So what was the older style of this same exact pant? FULL FIT? I have eight pairs of these pants but I’m wanting the new style with the old fit. I’m 6’ 3” 208lbs. I wear 34x34 comfortably. Help!!

I didnnit teceive the pant I though I ordered. It is perhaps my failt. I already had a pair of kuhl convertible pants that have stretchy fabric. I thought i was ordering the same pants but a different color. The 34 x 30 In my original pair fit great. The same 34 x 30 is this pair is too tight. I can wear them but the waist is not comfortable. Guess Incould stand to lost a couple lbs. i really want to know how to order the pants I wanted. Legs are removable, i can that convertible, but perhaps I am mistaken. Fabric is stretchy. Has cargo pockets and multiple Pockets inside tje cargo pockets. Can you help me figure out which pair i want to order. Thanks Steve Shirk Loudon, Tn 37774

Why do these pants have a tag attached that says "Full Fit."? According to Kuhl they should be "Klassic Fit." This is the third pair of Kuhl pants I have recently bought from Backcountry that are SUPPOSED to be Klassic Fit but have a label attached to the waistband that says "Full Fit." Why? They do seem to fit the same as another pair of Renegade pants I bought from Kuhl directly but I'm not certain. The other two pants this happened with were the Kontra Air and the Outsider Pant. Are these made specifically in a different fit for Backcountry? Or are they mislabeled? Or an old, past year model that has since been updated? I'm hesitant to buy any more Kuhl pants from Backcountry because to me the Kuhl Klassic fit is absolutely perfect and I'm never sure what I'm going to get from Backcountry.

I received an answer from Kuhl yesterday about this. They said when the Renegade was recently redesigned and changed from Full Fit to Klassic Fit, they forgot to change the label initially and a large batch of pants was sent to Backcountry and REI (who both get their products before any other retailers) with a label "Full Fit" that SHOULD have been labeled "Klassic Fit." So, they ARE the correct and current pant, just not labeled correctly. They mentioned similar mistakes were made with the Outsider Pant (originally released as Full Fit but then they decided it was actually closer to Klassic fit so they changed their website description but the pants already had a Full Fit label), and the Kontra Air that was changed to Klassic Fit (design change) some time ago but labels were not updated. Kuhl says it just happens that I have recently bought the exact three pants that had errors in labeling. They were also clear in stating this was their mistake, not anything to do with Backcountry. So I will continue to buy their pants from Backcountry.
