The warmer member of the Kollusion family.
The Kuhl Men's Insulated Kollusion Jacket maintains the same streamlined style as its colder brother, but the quilted lining adds a dose of warmth for the colder seasons. Designed to curb the cold, the Kollusion's quilted lining stays warm when wet, and its buttoned wind flap prevents brisk breezes from sneaking through the full-zip front. Kuhl added a PU-coating to the waxed shell to shed rainfall and snowflakes to keep you comfortably dry in wet weather.

Insulated Kollusion Jacket
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'9"
- Weight: 185lbs
Purchased in December 2017. Great coat. It gets compliments. Very trim and athletic fit. Almost to trim for me. Stylish, lightweight and warm. But probably not the best pick for really cold weather. Just depends on how you choose to layer and how long you would be outside while wearing it. I haven't encountered rain while wearing it. Satisfied with choosing the Kollusion! 4 stars instead of 5 stars only because of the very trim fit.
Great Quality and Great Style!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have had this jacket for a couple of months now. I was originally looking at the Kollusion non insulated jacket but Tyler at Backcountry talked me in to this insulated version - I am glad he did. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the added insulation makes this jacket much warmer and will allow me to use the jacket through fall and winter. I love the jacket and it has become my go-to. I wear it in the rain and it holds up very well. I also like that you can add “wax” to add more water proofing to the jacket. I suspect that I will add more waterproofing in a year or so. I also wear it in the snow and frigid weather. We are currently in North Idaho where the temps have been below 20 degrees and this jacket has been great in the cold!
Some of the Negatives... I really wish that this jacket included a hood. I have seen several Kuhl jackets that include a hood that folds in to the collar. That addition to this jacket would have been a huge plus. In the Pacific Northwest we get lots of rain and only tourists use umbrellas here. The other thing that I would like to see would be an internal chest pocket(s). This is probably just a personal preference, I like to zip my phone into an internal pocket on coats / jackets for additional protection. The exterior pockets allow for great storage but the top pockets on the coat are not big enough for a device like iPhone or Samsung and also the external pockets don’t provide any padding to protect a device.
All in all, I would buy the jacket again and I would definitely recommend it to friends. If it had a hood addition I would give the jacket 5 stars so if a hood for rainy / snowy days is not important to you - consider my rating 5 stars.
As always, the buying experience and customer support from Backcountry is 5 stars! Thank you Tyler!
