    Burr Jacket

Despite its ruggedness, the Kuhl Men's Burr Jacket is a total softy. Kuhl made its shell out of combed cotton with a patina finish for a worn-in look. Microfleece lines the core for winter-worthy warmth, and the Supplex-lined sleeves ease layering over long-sleeve shirts. Saddle stitches ensure durability with a smoother feel, and there's an internal security pocket that protects valuables in public places.

    • Rugged jacket worthy of campsites, but soft enough for everyday
    • Combed cotton canvas shell ensures long-lasting durability
    • Microfleece-lined core adds warmth for the cold seasons
    • Smooth Supplex lining at sleeves for easy layering
    • Item #KUH005V

    Extremely happy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Great jacket with great style. Get lots of compliments when I wear it. My only tiny complaint: the pockets are small. I can barely fit my hands in them.

    2 things

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I love the way the jacket looks- super cool. My issue was the cuff buttons broke... twice! BC was awesome w/ the returns, but I’m bummed I have to get rid of it.

Also- the pockets have metal zippers- this is a problem since I wear a watch and don’t need sharp metal zippers scratching my watch face AND I wear sunglasses which may hang from my neck, or my shirt, that were easily scratched by the sharp metal zipper on the jacket.

    Great casual jacket.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

This is a great fall and mild winter jacket. I love the rugged look of it. The construction seems sturdy and well-made. I found the sizing to be pretty true. It's not a super slim jacket, but not baggy either.

I gave this as a gift but have feedback to share:

I love this coat. the fit is good and is well constructed. I have other coats that zippers break, this on is metal not plastic so hoping it lasts longer.

    Rugged Urban. Love it.

Love this jacket. I have been looking for a rugged but urban wearable jacket for a long time. This one is exactly what I was looking for. The design is subtle, and if you look closely you can see it is made well. Super comfortable. Not too warm, not too cold. I recently wore this jacket in NYC with my Ghost whisperer under. In 30 degree weather it was very comfy. I have the XL and fits perfect. I am 6'3" 240lbs. Sleeves are plenty long.
Only small negative is things in hand warmer pockets will fall out easily. Otherwise it is very well fitting, and I love the look of it. Merry Christmas to ME!

    Runs large - great jacket!

I read reviews on KUHL website, recommending you size down. I’m glad I did! I typically wear a L but went with the M based on other reviews & it fit perfect. Not baggy. Not too tight. Fabric is very durable feeling and the style is exactly what I was looking for. Great buy.

    My new favorite fleece jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Size Bought: Large

I've owned NF and Arc as well as few off brands. I was used to buying off-season so I hate to pay full price. But for this Kuhl, which fits so well and is top quality, I'm so glad I purchased it.

    Great fit, Poor Construction

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like the fit and look of this jacket. Heavy material typical of Kuhl. They do run one size too large. It's a straight cut, more like a ranch jacket. I have worn this to work for a week. Very happy with the fit and feel. Fabric and hardware are very good. The down side is the quality of the construction. Stitching under the arms is starting to come loose after one week. Attached a photo for example of what to look for. This is in several areas. Threads are hanging out in some areas over an inch. Never had a jacket come apart this quickly. Really don't want to return it. If an exchange is needed, Backcountry is the great to work with.

    Great fit, Poor Construction

    Awesome casual jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 140lbs

Bought this in a L initially and had to exchange for a M. The material is nice and sturdy, looks great, color is what you would totally expect from Kuhl. The only problem is that this jacket definitely runs a little big if you are on the slimmer side, particularly in the sleeves which ended up looking pretty puffy. The shoulders are great for broad shouldered guys and the waist is really not bad but the arms felt disproportionately larger than the rest of the jacket. If you don't have broad shoulders for your size I would def size down. Otherwise it's an incredibly sharp jacket and perfectly lined for spring.

    Size matters

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XXL
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 250lbs

Exact style, material, and (initial impression) build quality I wanted. Unfortunately the XXL was too small (2X fits me in most brands of jackets/coats). Too short and too tight in the chest. Also, the sleeves are definitely long. So, based on the sleeve length and jacket cut I'm moderately certain the 3XL will be ridiculous on me in some fashion. Pretty disappointed.

Not so form fitting if you are slim

    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: small
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Nice jacket. But I usually wear medium size (38 chest, 31 waist 160#). I purchased a small -- it fits well in the shoulders, but it is a bit large in the stomach and waist.

    Great choice

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Xxl
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 243lbs

Kuhl clothing has it's own niche in style. That said this style is different than my other jackets. The soft shell, and nylon jackets can tend to become homogenized, similar. The Kuhl Burr has a different look and feel of most jackets. It is a bit heavier than I anticipated, not a 'heavy jacket 'per say. Just heavier than I anticipated.
Machine washable but not machine dryable. Hang to dry. Well made, nice look with it's Kuhl style.

    Excellent Quality Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 205lbs

I bought this a month ago and have worn it every day since. The quality is outstanding, the fabric is durable and the zippers are top quality. I actually like it more now that is is broken in a little.

The description says "winter-worthy warmth". It might be if you live in the south but I wouldn't recommend it for much below freezing.

I usually find it hard to buy clothing without trying it on but I went by the measurement guide and it fits better than any jacket I have owned in a long time.

I will defiantly look at other KUHL products. And will order them from Backcountry for sure.

The sleeve shape is a bit odd

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: s
    • Height: 5'10"

quite bulky there; the white stitches just stand out too much, not appealing. The quality of the construction is very good though, w quality zipper. Unfortunately this is more for a high schooler, IMO.

    Cool Kuhl jacket!

Khaki color in picture does not match what I received. The color I received has a lot of olive green tones in it. See attached.

    Great Fall Jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

We're just getting into Fall here in Oklahoma and that means a lot of wind. This jacket is an excellent wind-break and warm as well. I'd say it's good down into the low 50s, possibly the 40s if you layer under it properly. I'm thin and this jacket will accommodate someone 5-10 lbs heavier than me and still fit fine.

There are plenty of pockets and the fit is good (I'm 5' 11' and 165 lbs and ordered a Medium)--snug, but with plenty of room for layering in a pinch. The overall design is good-looking for a night on the town.

This is a very nice jacket, more stylish than the usual ski jackets people wear but still very warm and well made. Good quality and well worth the cost.

Has anyone had problems with odd fading creases? Or is that part of the style? I've had it 2 weeks and the fading makes it look dirty all the time
