Great bike rack
If you want a light weight well made bike rack then you have found it. I selected the 2” model to fit my receiver. It may just be me but initially it was not clear how to release the metal ball. The knob must be turned to allow for the bracket to be inserted into the receiver. After inserted then you can tighten the knob to secure the bike rack. The customer service from backcountry & kuat is excellent!!!!!

My bike loves it.
Gone are the days of me squishing my bike into my car. I've never been a big bike rack person, but that just changed. Exactly what I needed

Everything you need
I got tired of hoisting the bike over my head and up onto the roof. I wanted something small, simple and easy to get on and off. This thing is great. Weighs half of what I remember these types of racks used to weigh. Super easy to set up. Have to just figure out where you want to strap it on and you're good. I might need to add something for the front wheel so it doesn't move around as much, but with only one bike on the back it was just fine and two will probably be just as fine. Very happy with this rack and I love the company.

Due to user error I almost lost my bike on the freeway, make sure you orient the bike the way the instructions show! The attachment was visibly vibrating which made me nervous but it could have been the installation on the hitch itself and not the rack.

Lightweight but study, and functionally it works great. The tightening system is nice and the rack adjusts to fit different sizes. Good choice for an easy and lightweight system.

Best lightweight rack on the market!
This is getting a little bit silly but I now own 3 Kuat bike racks. One NV 2 bike, One NV 4 bike and as I prepare to send my daughter off to college I couldn't resist buying her a Beta 2 bike to use with her 1 1/4 trailer hitch. The Beta arrived in perfect condition and the quality and engineering is every bit as nice as my other racks. The rack will serve her well for years and when she isn't using it she can fold it up and store it under her bed. I should note that I had a small issue with a bent part on my NV rack, (no fault of the rack), and a quick email to Kuat resulted in a phone call from them which confirmed my address so that they could send me a replacement part at no cost. What a great product and company!

MTB bikers beware
This rack will not work with most full suspension bikes. Just FYI. Worked great with road bikes thou

This rack is awesome. It's super light, but still very sturdy. I love the hand-tight cam system because it makes it fit snug in my hitch receiver, and prevents any rattle or sway. The anti-sway carriages turn to fit different frame shapes and sizes, and it's very easy to throw my bike on, strap it down, and go. The rack swings down for easy access to the back door, and the forks fold down which is nice for when I'm not hauling my bike. The folding features are also very nice for making the whole thing compact and easy to store.

Do you mind sending me an actual picture of the straps? I've researched online and their seem to be two different versions- one with chunky rubber straps (with big holes) and the one that is shown in your picture on your website. I'd like to know which one I'd be getting if bought.
