LEV-272 Dropper Seatpost
Apart from, say, wheels, handlebars, and a saddle, there’s no more important piece for an off-road bike than a dropper post, and there’s no better dropper than the KS LEV-272 Dropper Seatpost. Pretty simply, hammering through up-and-down terrain is just a chore without one. KS has been making the LEV series since before you knew mountain biking was a thing, and the LEV-272, while meant for smaller 27.2mm seat tubes, packs the full suite of tech that KS has been fine-tuning for years.
Of course, the LEV-272 moves smoothly through its travel, and you can also enjoy some rotational adjustment at the clamp to get your saddle dialed in to perfection. The KG remote is made of carbon to keep the grams from adding up, and the internal routing keeps your setup clean and snag free.

This post isn't worth the money
I installed the KS LEV 27.2 post, and from the first ride until now it has been slow at rebounding, and never fully extends unless I pull it up by hand. The post now has a noticeable side to side play as well. I recently purchased a PNW Rainier 27.2 post and it is way better.

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I do not yet know how reliable this post is in the long run, but on my first few rides it performed flawlessly. I had none of the problems that I hear people talk about coming straight out of the box. Setup was straight forward and easy. the return speed is a little bit slower than on some other models, but it does not affect me at all. If you are looking for a good quality 27.2 MM dropper post, than this is a good option.

It's a dropper, just not adjustable...
- I've used it several times
If you have a 27.2 post, there are only a few internally routed options. This one is fine -- assuming you're ok with the pressure set at KS's factory. The rebound on mine is really slow. When I looked for how to adjust it -- no dice on this model. No way to add or remove pressure. I'll live, it's just not ideal. Know this BEFORE you buy, not after like me.

I too discovered (slow rebound, and never full extends without help) this after installing the post. I have a PNW Rainier 27.2 on another bike and it is way better than the KS LEV 27.2 post.

- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I gave this as a gift, but my buddy loves the post. It was easy to install and works super smooth in any condition. A+++

Dropper post like this for a 27.2mm Trail/XC mtn bike. Would this work without internal routing? Is there even an option for a bike without internal routing at all? How about at 27.2mm. would love to know. thanks!

Hi John, This post is specific for external routed frames. Each post is manufactured to work with either internal or external routing. KS does make a 27.2 internal that they designate with "integra". Give us a call at 888-276-7130 if you have further questions!
