Great boots, great value
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
These boots are true to size and very durable. My teenage son wears a size 15 and it's hard to find most types of shoes in his size so I was thrilled to discover these while shopping online. I would definitely order another pair for him in the future.
These fit very well and provide really great traction (mainly speaking for the felt soles). However, they are not very durable. I'm pretty tough on wading boots, but I didn't even make it an entire season with these. If you're fishing really calm waters with sandy or relatively smooth bottoms, these will definitely serve their purpose.
My Friend loves these Boots
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I got these boots along with the Redington Sonic-Pro Wader Zip Front for my buddy for his birthday as he's very into fly-fishing. These boots run true to size as he usually wears a 10 in tennis shoes and the size 10 in the Redside fit him perfectly. Boots are very waterproof and the sole is thick and durable. My friend goes fishing almost every day and the boots have been very durable and have worked out very well for him. Would recommend these boots for any serious fisherman out there!
Great wading boot.
I have found the Korkers Redside wading boot excellent for the rivers here in Tasmania (Australia). The interchangeable sole is brilliant and easy too change as well. I have not had a single problem with them and will purchase another pair once I have worn these out. I trout fish the rivers here 5 days a week and the river bottoms are quick tough on most boots, but these have stood up very well for the past two trout seasons.
Good innovation, but sole is too hard.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Bought these boots as I have been wanting to try them since I live in PA but close enough to fish in MD as well. Since I prefer felt but it is banned in certain states like MD it seemed like a perfect fit. Unfortunately it is the interchangeable soles that are the reason for the 2 stars. While I love the simple lacing system and the d ring for your gravel guards, the soles on the interchangeable system are too hard. The rubber/felt is attached to a hard plastic sole that does not give when walking or jumping from rock to rock leaving you teetering back and forth. This may be okay for the occasional fisherman that may stay at one or two holes or even ocean/flats fishing but if you are like me and do a lot of hike in/hike out mountain stream fishing I recommend you look elsewhere. Unfortunately after 1 season with these boots, wearing them almost every weekend, I am. If there is some way that Korkers can adjust their design to incorporate a softer sole I would buy boots from them again in a heartbeat. Their quality is nice, the weight is light and the inside is comfortable. They just leave me worrying more about being careful with my steps rather than concentrating on my casting and technique.
These boots are amazing
Great boots for fishing. Love that the tread pops off and is easy to replace.
Korkers Redside Wading Boot - Men's
Korkers Redside offer great value!
There are many, many fine wading boots out there. I selected the Redsides based on the advice of my fly shop and the price. At this point I did not want to spend $200 on boots. It is my pleasure to give high marks to the Redside boots. The elastic cord lace system works very well, and the boots offer good support for my surgically repaired right ankle. The boots are great on the river, very comfortable when making long and difficult approaches to the river, and just great value for the dollar. If and when I upgrade I will give very serious consideration to Korkers upgrade boots.

I had 2 pairs of these Korkers boots (similarly priced model) with the old style soles. They have always been extremely comfortable, but changing the soles was a chore and they always were partially disengaged. These fixed all that - never a problem with the soles and still extremely comfortable. In addition, the soles cover the entire bottom of the boot so they are more stable (I have a little arthritis so that's important to me).
Korkers Wading Boot Rock!
I've been wet-wading or using waders to fish streams around the country for over 20 years. I've had a number of different styles/models of boots following my initial use of old sneakers. Simply put, these boots are great. They are extremely easy on and off, wet or dry, they can be snugged tight to keep silt and mud out and provide great traction on wet rocks, river slime and mud. Paired with wading socks, they are an excellent choice for wet wading or for use with waders. I'm not sure if I will need the interchangeable sole function, but hey, you never know and the switch from one sole to another is easy also. Thanks, Korkers!
