Burly boots that help stop the spread of invasive species.

There's a reason Korkers named these boots the K-5 Bomber Wading Boots. With a hydrophobic triple-layer synthetic upper, molded toe and heel cap, and protected stitching, these boots were built for anglers who spend every ounce of their free time on the river. Utilizing Korkers' innovative OmniTrax interchangeable sole system, the soles of the boots can be switched out to accommodate the season or river you're fishing for the day. Not only that, but by switching out the soles, the chance of spreading invasive species to other rivers and waterways is greatly reduced. In order to optimize comfort, Korkers developed its 5-ply fit system. The system locks the foot into place and supports the ankles for a secure fit when wading in strong currents. An internal drainage system allows water to drain through ports in the midsole reducing the amount of water weight you have to carry around.

    Better than boa? Interchangeable sole

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been a longtime simms boot fan. But going between wade fishing (felt with studs sometimes please), drift boat or even inflatable (studs tear them up), hiking in (rubber sole only) meant more than one pair of boots until korkers came along. I was an early adopter year ago--that first gen sole sucked. This one is much better. This is my second pair of the current gen sole. My retired pair finally tore out. They were a boa lace model that I was happy to avoid this time around. Boa had a couple disadvantages for me--one; my gravel guard on the waders didn't make it to the toe area d-ring and I was nervous to put the clip on the plastic boa lace and two; winter fishing the boa would obviously get water in it when fishing and the boa would freeze so you couldn't get boots off until you got them in the truck with some heat on them... Anyway--been fishing these all winter and very impressed. Stiff boot so good support when wading and getting your foot jammed in between submerged rocks and boulders. If I didn't think I'd get a couple more years of use, I'd probably pick up anothe pair while they are on sale. Great boot.
