    Buckskin Wading Boot

The Korkers Men's Buckskin Wading Boots offer solid comfort, support, and traction while you wade so you can focus on catching that enormous rainbow that keeps swirling around your fly. The Buckskins feature the OmniTrax 3.0 Interchangeable Sole System so you can adapt your traction to meet the performance needs of each river system. We are offering two sole options: felt and Kling-On rubber outsole, or the Kling-On rubber outsole and the studded Kling-On. You can purchase other outsoles separately for maximum versatility. The non-marking Kling-On outsoles are also safe for all boats. Korkers also gave the Buckskins a mid-high cuff for excellent ankle support.

Made for the wet wading angler in mind, the Buckskins have hydrophobic waterproof materials to reduce water absorption and thus overall weight, and to enable them to dry faster to help prevent the spread of invasive species. Fewer stitched seams improve durability and eliminate potential failure points with the 3D EVA molded toe caps. In addition, regrind rubber toe caps provide an added layer of durability without adding weight, while traditional laces feature rugged web loops for added protection and durability. Integrated midsole drainage ports also allow water to drain quickly to keep the boots lighter while you wade.

Sizing Issue for these well made boots

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I sized up from my street shoe 9 to a size 10 as recommended to accommodate wader neopreme socks. However they are a bit big having sized up to a 10 and it is awkward to walk and navigate on land and in the water. I am considering a return of this item for a smaller size. I need to talk to a GearHead again. I have only used them 1 time so far since the purchase.

Solved my lower back fishing pains

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked these up in the spring and they've received nothing but abuse since. I've lost half my soles in the much (no fault of Korkers) and have legitimately put these boots through about the toughest conditions I could ever imagine any boot going through outside of military application / combat.

    They just keep trucking along.

The best thing about these boots in my opinion is what they did for my back pain while fishing. Normally walking over baby head rocks and standing all day in my old boots would leave me limping back to the car after a full day of fishing. My feet and lower back would be on fire. These boots solved that problem. No more foot pain, no more back pain. For that reason alone, I'll be buying another pair when (IF) these ones ever kick the bucket.

As a bonus...they're warm in cold water, and not hot in summer. I love the interchangeable soles as I can wear them as normal hiking boots on my way out to the river or duck blind, and then switch to felt soles, or spikes if the conditions require it.

    Another great product by Korkers.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I'm using old 5mm Neoprene waders and I purchased size 13 Buckskin Wading Boots, But the boots seem to be too narrow for my feet. Even with thinner socks, they still fit too tight and created a lot of discomfort for me. I wish Korkers would produce 1/2 sizes as well as wider versions.

Don't let my review discourage you from getting these boots; there great boots, but my wide feet and very thick neoprene's aren't a good fit with this boot. It's like merging old 30 year technology with the newer technology. It just doesn't work. Time for change.

Was recommended the Simms Headwaters which are thinner wader and still very functional for Steelhead fishing I do at Lake Erie between December and March each year. I just think with my wool thigh high socks and thick waders, the boot isn't fitting right. So, back to the drawing board.

And I also would like to mention that Backcountry Support is exceptional. Everyone there is so nice to talk with and full of so much helpful knowledge. It's the best place to shop and you can't beat the no hassle return policy as well as their 2 day free shipping.

Want to get into some BUCKNASTY browns you will need the right footwear to get you there. These boots are awesome. The easy changeable soles are a main selling point when it comes to other brands and wading boots. Great ankle support and the a good mix of material. Like other wading boots I do not find my self emptying water out of these when I am done in the water. They have great ventilation and the water seems to find its way out easily.
