Why We Like The Klymit Traverse Bug Net

The Klymit Traverse Hammock Bug Net keeps the skeeters and creepy crawlies at bay when we're trying to catch some sleep or quiet time in our hammock. The four tie-off points preserve a roomy interior space for comfort, while the magnetic zipper closes behind us to keep the bugs away when we enter or exit the mesh enclosure. This mesh netting is made to integrate with the Traverse shelter and is also compatible with almost all hammocks.

Great idea lacking execution

I think the mosquito net is great overall and it does the job with providing an easy way to put a mosquito net up around your hammock. And the idea of the magnet closure is awesome however the magnets need to be a bit stronger to actually snap shut and stay shut. I’ve tried a few different ways to adjust this but I’ve found any major movement of you hammock and the magnets release. And it’s not easy to reclose the netting without a bit of shifting around.

Not a bad option, quality product, will keep the bugs out.

Pros: not a complicated setup/takedown (once you figure it out), lots of adjustability, spacious, has small accessory pocket that hangs from center, quality construction-seems durable Cons: no directions included and picture on package is hard to follow, the door is too small and a little awkward (I am 5’10”, 165lbs), if you drop anything from the hammock it will open the magnetic door at the bottom

Excellent on a buggy summit hike

The net was far more pack-able than I expected, and didn't take up much room in my bag. Some friends and I were doing a late August hike up Eagle Peak in YNP. There was just enough extra room underneath my hammock to put a small bag with my phone, bear spray and luci lamp. Didn't have any mosquitoes or horse flies find their way through. I can't wait to use it thru hiking this coming summer!

My number one complaint about

My number one complaint about camping is mosquitos. The spray is never good enough for nighttime, not to mention it stinks. Kudos to the designer(s) of this bug net, as it was perfect on my recent hammock camping trip, and so easy to set up. Great product!
