Almost as luxurious as your bed at home.

Lighter than—yet just as comfortable as—the original, the Klymit Static V2 Sleeping Pad is a must-have for any serious backpacker. With a new, lighter high-end polyester fabric, the V2 makes for a cushy trek in and then an even cushier night's sleep. It only takes 10-15 breaths to inflate, and with the included stuff sack and patch kit, transportation and repairs are a breeze.

Light, tight, and almost just right!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Solid lad for the price, packs well, weighs little. Pretty comfortable and geometry of the pad keeps you from rolling off. Not the best pad ever but definitely up there. Ridges makenit sleep cold on the snow but that’s not really what it was made for. Only real complaint is that it is hard to blownall the way up while closing air valve. 9/10 overall rating. Solid setup for the bargain price.

Light in your pack and on your wallet

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I was really impressed with this pad. I brought it along on a two night backpacking trip for my mom to use. She's 5'7" with a smaller frame and this was perfect for her. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 6'0" however.

It rolls up to be about the size of a Nalgene. There are lighter options out there for backpacking and thru-hiking but this one works wonderfully if you're going on anything under a 3 night trip. It doesn't take much to inflate it, and it's lofty so side sleepers will be pleased with it's performance.

    Amazing!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this sleeping pad. Being a side sleeper i found incredible comfort while using this pad. It's small, light and quick to inflate. Its extremely comfortable and seems very durable. I've only used a handful of times but so far I've been really impressed!

    Desert Ready

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A friend of mine took this pad to Capitol Reef and LOVED it!!! Here's what he had to say:

I highly recommend this sleeping pad. It has a unique design which requires very little air to fully inflate, which is great at the end of a tough day when you just want to get set up and relax. It took another member of my group about 4 times as long to blow up his pad! It also packs down incredibly small--smaller than my Nalgene--for minimal pack space and weight. Awesome pad!!!

    I dig it

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

this pad was great, it didn't move around that much, it stayed under me, it was an easy set, the material is super durable, they were an easy pack up as well. Super lightweight, and can roll up to a great packable size. I would definitely suggest this item to a friend, great for camping and backpacking.

    Light and Comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This sleeping pad is very comfortable for how packable and lightweight it is. It works very well for side sleepers like myself. It only takes a few large breaths to blow it up so you won't be exhausted afterwards.

    LIGHTEST SLEEPING PAD!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was in the market looking for the lightest and best comfort on a sleeping pad, My friend had a extra one gave it to me for I can sleep, and the next day I had to order me one ASAP! I had one of the best night sleeps down in Moab thanks to the Klymit! I have it over for 3 months now best sleep I have while camping!

    Perfect For Side Sleepers

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I borrowed this pad from a friend for a weekend camping trip. I move around a lot in my sleep & tend to sleep on my side alot; I never felt the ground! This pad is absolutely amazing, especially for the size & price.

    Excellent warm weather pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Static V2 sleeping pad is great for warm weather camping. It's thick enough for side sleepers and back sleepers alike. It's small enough and doesn't take forever to inflate. If you're camping in colder weather check out the insulated version to keep you warmer. I toss and turn a lot at night and the side baffles help keep me on the pad and off the ground. Highly recommend it.

    Can't beat it!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this pad as a gift for a family member. They are just getting into camping backpacking and needed a solid pad without spending a lot of money. They have taken this out a few time and love how compact and comfortable this pad has been. Would reccomend to anyone!

    Amazingly compact and comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These pads are great! They pack up so small but they are amazingly comfortable! The V2 is a must have for backpacking light! Durability will be proven over time, but for now I'm really optimistic!

    Easy to use

This thing is really easy to blow up, and packs down easily once you get used to it. It's also really comfortable to sleep on pretty much no mater how you sleep. If you're on the taller side or sleep on your side it's a really good option. I haven't had any problems with it popping or tearing yet, and I even woke up to find that I'd slept on top of a pretty jagged stump (which I didn't notice thanks to this thing). I think you get a lot more than you'd expect based on its price point.

      So Small

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Easy to air up. It is so small. Good for camping. Only downside is its R value is a little low but you can always buy an insulated one.

      never worked

I bought this pad for my boyfriend for his birthday. the first time we opened it was on the site we had canoed to stay for 5 nights. the thing had multiple holes. we canoed to town and got the appropriate materials to patch the holes. the patches wouldn't hold and ultimately I ended up sleeping on the ground for 5 nights. huge disappointment

        Great mid-range pad

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Very comfortable, super light, and surprisingly small pack size.

Given the weight, size, and comfort of this pad, I would consider it to be a great option for the money. The only downside is that the material can tear if you are not careful but it does come with a patch kit.

        Really small but....

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My valve ended up seizing up due to errant dust/wind storms. Still works ok, but I have a yank the entire valve core out in order to deflate/inflate. Kind of a bummer. Other than that it's an easy, comfortable, and tiny pad.

        Comfy and compact

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Finally made the upgrade from a child's sleeping pad (I was trying to save money, what can I say?), and this was a good decision. It's comfortable, affordable, and what a joy to finally have a long sleeping pad. It goes on for days!! (I'm 5' 4" so keep that in mind). I'm a side sleeper, and it works well for that, and I used it in temperatures that were somewhat chilly (high 30s/low 40s?) and did not notice the lack of R-value. Probably need something warmer for the cold, however, like other reviewers point out. PACKS DOWN SO SMALL!!

        Great pad for the price

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Packs really nice and is very light for the price. I picked one up over a year ago for myself since my Therm-A-Rest is a hard on my back. I used mine every other weekend last year and it is holding up great so far so I picked up a wnd one for my wife.

If you are camping in temps around 35f or lower I would use an insulated pad over this one but it is great for summer.

All Big Agnes brand air mattress models are 20" wide. This one is listed at 23" wide. Has anyone tried this mattress inside the air pad pocket of a rectangular Big Agnes sleeping bag? Does it work?
