Great Travel Bag

The bag works great and was very warm. Used it as a travel bag when sleeping at a rental house on the coldest night in history. I was warm and comfortable every night. The only small complaint was that it bunched a little during the night and I got a little twisted. I know I was not using it for its prescribed use, and this is a very small issue in my eyes. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested.

Convenient

The liner is comfortable and works good as standalone bag for mild weather or a sleepover.

Fantastic Liner

Used in a -50 bag for a week in well below freezing temps. Liner was just enough to not have the skin contact to the cool fabric of the sleep system. Kept a nice feel while still being able to sleep in just running shorts.

Wife says she wouldn’t have survived without this!

The wife used this with the Big Agnes King Solomon sleep system. The lowest temps reached around 38 degrees, and she slept comfortably snuggled in her fleece liner. During the day, she used this liner as a blanket when it was still chilly outside. She said she wouldn’t go backpacking in cold environments without it. It is a bit bulky, but it’s worth the comfort. My only complaint is the compression sack ripped when I was cinching it down.

Warm

This thing is huge and warm. The fleece is thick and very comfortable. We have had it on a few Scout camps this year, but unfortunately none have been cold enough to do this justice. The first camp was about 50 at night and with the Klymit Nest Cold XL inside the 20 degree sleeping bag. It was WAY too hot. We have been using this the rest of this summer as a sleeping bag/pad all on its own and it is wonderful as a comfortable sheet on the sleeping pad or a sleeping bag on its own and it's great as a warm weather sleeping bag. The picture shows the Klymit Cold Liner XL against a tall mummy bag. There is more material at the foot of the liner than can comfortably fit in a mummy bag. It's warm and fuzzy, and the cinch bag is great, but I'm not sure it's a great fit as a mummy bag liner.

This is a great product

This is a great product and will keep you warm by adding some serious R value. I liked the arm sleeve holes, but the reason I gave it 8 was that I've seen other inserts that clip or tie into the bag. It seems to hold a little better. But overall very pleased with the product.

Quality product but not impressed with design

The XL liner was super warm with my zero degree bag and temps down to 11 degrees outside but the liner is so big. It's too big and bulky to fit in a mummy bag and still allowing you to breath. I actually ended putting my bag in the liner but it was damp in the morning. Because it's so large, it works better for car camping rather than backpacking.

Klymit Nest Sleeping Bag Liner

I really like this fleecy bag really adds warmth to my sleeping system for colder weather camping, the picture makes it seem alot bigger then it is, like you can add your pad inside of it as well, I couldn't without being very uncomfortable, I'm 5 9" fits well for me just me with some room to move for quilt and more room then my mummy bag. Overall I would recommend, but haven't really tried any other bags to compare.

Great winter camping option

Haven't used it yet, but it seems like a very warm and very well constructed liner. I look forward to putting it to use!

Much larger and heavier than expected

I was looking for a sleeping bag liner about half this size and weight. It is great for a bag to keep in the car or for car camping in the winter but it weighs far too much for an additional layer for backpacking purposes. When in the accompanying storage bags, compared to my 40 degree backpacking bag, it is actually longer than my sleeping bag uncompressed and they weigh about the same. I’m sure it is fine if you buy it for car camping or even for a travel sheet as it is warm and soft, but make sure to check the specs on the website before buying for backpacking.
