    Load up and go.

Klymit's Motion 60 Backpack was designed for overnight summit bids and multi-day backpacking adventures. The pack sports Klymit's Air Frame technology, meaning the pack is supported by a pressurized air frame sheet that can be quickly adjusted with just a quick pump. Not only does the frame sheet keep the pack comfortable against the back, but it is lighter than traditional aluminum stays, so you end up hauling less weight and covering more ground with less effort.

In terms of design, the Motion 60 is fairly simple, with a cavernous main compartment that will hold around 55 pounds of gear, and a single zippered top pocket that offers an additional five liters of storage space. The pack is hydration-compatible, but it also has two stretch side pockets where water bottles can be stashed for easy access when you're on the trail.

    Great Pack!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use this pack for rock guiding. Big enough to fit a 70m rope, helmet, 2 to 3 racks of cams/nuts/offsets, shoes, water, and even a layer or two plus food.

The cinch style side straps make it super awesome for making sure the pack is tight and secure while climbing. The pockets on the outside of the pack allow for easy access to gear. The air rail frame is great for adjustments on the go and super easy/convenient to adjust.

I have used this pack for backpacking, climbing, and as just a regular day pack. Best use for me was as a climbing/gear/approach bag. I was not a fan when it came to anything over 25lbs as far as backpacking but I'm a baby and I'm sure is not a problem with the bag.

    Comfortable Pack!

Just finished a 14 mile, two day trip in the Uintas. I've used a lot of bags over the years, and this one has my vote for comfort! My shoulders and my back felt great the whole time, no pressure points, no sore spots. Shoulder straps are awesome, waist belt is awesome, The air filled back support makes the pack super light, but still supportive.

I do wish it had access other than the top for the main compartment, like a side zipper or something. But, overall I'm excited for my next trip!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased and used the Klymit Motion 60 medium at Philmont Scout Ranch Trek 14 this June 2016. A 12 day trek covering (more than) 79 miles in New Mexico. I am 5'5" 140 lb. 47 year old male. A very comfortable pack, even when loaded over the respectable 55lbs. and yes it did. Now this pack will hold everything NEEDED on an excursion like this. Some of it will need to be engineered to the sides, back, and bottom. It is NOT a pack for those who need extra stuff. I took a 12x14 sil nylon tarp with rope and stakes, crew first aid, Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 tent (fit in back pouch) with poles strapped to back, raingear, clothes, fleece, Whisperlight stove with 2 MSR gas tanks, 2 Nalgenes, 2 Smart Water bottles(engineered) to sides. Synthetic sleeping bag, Big Agnes Q-core and sleeping clothes all stuffed in a Sea to Summit medium compression bag engineered to the bottom. Extra Platypus for dry camps, meal kit, and seven Philmont (ready to eat, just add water) meals.
Out of the box this pack looks like a toy ready to break. It is just the opposite. The small buckles, thin strapping and nylon never failed, broke or ripped...and I pulled, tugged, cinched, stuffed and squished. Cons: the pack has two awkward belt pouches but held a full size Brunton Compass right with 4 energy bars left. The water bottle pouches are too far back and you need help getting them back in. No biggie; team building and others knew you were drinking enough. The one issue I had was with the adjustable rings on the shoulder straps. They would slide back when walking. I locked them in place with carabiners and was still able to make adjustments with the pull straps. Any pack you buy will need some tweeking. The Klymit Motion 60 allows you to easily adjust the pack while never breaking stride. July 6th I head for Maryland with a section thru hike of the AT. I will be taking my trusty, very comfortable, fully adjustable Klymit Motion 60 backpack.
