Footprint

Works as intended. I mentioned this in the tent review but labeling the footprint "front" and "back" made this easier for me. "Back" goes into the wind, if it's windy enough for that to be a concern. I also labeled the rest the parts, body and fly, as "front" and "back" made it a lot easier for me to get things lined up vs the color coded grommets and pole ends.

Nothing crazy going on here.

Nothing crazy going on here. The pad fits the Klymit 4-person tent.

Nice but not great

Overall the product does what it is supposed to. I did expect a little more attention to detail considering the cost vs a normal lightweight generic footprint. My biggest concern is that the tension adjusters are longer than the tent. Considering the foot print goes down first this creates some difficulty during assembly. I had to reposition the stakes several times to accommodate the shorter tension adjusters on the tent. I think it should have been the opposite which would make assembly much less tedious. Not sure if this is specifically a problem with the tent or the footprint. I like the idea of being able to fast fly this and make the load a little lighter. For first time assemblers The front and back are not clearly labeled. I would preferred a smaller brand name and a front or back label to make it a smoother assembly. You can seen in the photo I posted. I ended up rotating this after I noticed what the front was. The item seems very durable and I have no doubt it will last a long time. It rolls up nicely with the tent so I don’t have to take another gear stuff sack along. I still might opt for a lighter generic one if I don’t plan on using as fast fly.

Couldn’t be happier with klymit

Couldn’t be happier with klymit They seem to have filled all my camping needs easily I have the klymit air mattress I have a klymit oversized zero degree sleeping bag with 650 fill down I’ve got the klymit mayfield 2 tent I’m hoping to have many great years of use with this gear There’s only one thing I’d change on this tent but it’s a small issue with the vestibule but no regret on this purchase

Worth it

Basically it's just a tarp, but its tiny, easily packable, and keeps the underside of your tent clean and dry. Makes gear cleanup at home way easier.

Strong and Light

The footprint fits the Maxfield perfectly and lines up with all the color-coded setup instructions, and it adds so very little weight. I can't imagine backpacking in the wild without this. The footprint makes it possible to save even more weight if I pack just the stakes, fly, and poles with it for the quick-fly setup. Stronlgly recommend this to complete your ultralight Maxfield setup.

Worth the additional cost

I gave the high score because the additional money spent on the footprint will greatly increase the lifespan of the tent.

integrates with the tent!

I love this - it integrates with the tent and provides that extra layer of protection you need with lightweight tents. I even set the tent up and forgot to put the footprint under it - but no problem - it was easy to pull under the tent and connect without even having to remove the stakes.
