Excellent products and customer service
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the product. A buddy and I took ours out on a backpacking trip to Hunter Lake in the Sierra's. The overnight low was 8 degrees and I was toasty warm with my 40 degree UQ and this mat.

Unhappy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought and heard this was an awesome sleep pad. The first one I received only lasted one use and had a blowout on the seam. The second one I got lasted only a couple uses before I developed a leak at the air inlet access seam. Very disappointed, I wish I could find one that could hold up to its reputation or at least what's its usage is for.

Great for cold weather
I’d never much considered cold weather hammocking, but this has changed my mind. Between this and my sleeping bag, cold fall weather wasn’t an issue. Great insulation for the bottom!

I met the team from
I met the team from Klymit at the Outdoor Retail Show in Park City, UT in August 2022. Before this, I had not heard of the brand. They have a wide variety of interesting products, but as a hammock camper, this one captured my attention almost immediately. I have used my old Thermarest (a circa 1996 standard 3/4) for years, but have always hesitated to take it out in "really cold" weather (I live in northern GA, so this translates to "upper 20's F"). The thermarest pad was easy to "lose" in the hammock, did not provide any insulation on the sides, and my feet were always cold. If I was camping in cold weather, I would pair it with my Hennessey three-season underquilt. Because of this experience, I had my doubts about the Klymit insulated pad. Fortunately, the Klymit pad is purpose-built for hammocks and is a complete marvel! Last weekend, I made a trip to the Ellicot Rock Wilderness, with lows in the upper 30's. The pad exceeded all of my expectations for warmth. I don't know that there is a recommended rating, but I would be comfortable trying it again in conditions dipping into the upper 20's. Rolled up, it takes less room in my pack than my 40 degree underquilt. It probably weighs about the same as a 20 degree underquilt (unverified!). I have used it in both my "double" hammock as well as an ultralight single. It fits both well. Because my single is a bit shorter than the double, I use it with a ridge line to put a little extra sag in the hammock so I can sleep on a diagonal. Unfortunately, it does not work well in a "diagonal" configuration, but fits perfectly when centered. The pad has a tacky surface on both the top and bottom to prevent slipping off the hammock as well as the pad from moving in the hammock. This works surprisingly well. Compared to my Thermarest, the only disadvantage is that the pad does not self-inflate. I have blown it up manually, and have found that it takes 16-18 good breaths. Done a few at a time, this isn't a bad experience. I have opted for a small rechargeable pump, however. Perhaps my biggest gripe about the product is the difficulty in folding and rolling it. I don't think I have successfully got it back into its bag with less than three re-rolls. Unfortunately, because of its larger size, this almost has to be done on my hands and knees on the ground. One of the first few times I used the pad, I had failed to seal the "deflate" valve fully (it looked closed!). The pad lost air, but I have learned to double-check this minor detail and the problem has not recurred. Great product, highly recommended.

used every night
I have been sleeping in my hammock at home for the past 2+ years, and this air mattress has been a wonderful addition to the hammock and hammock sleeping bag. I can toss and turn yet I don't end up off the pad. I have also used in in a tent when I camp on the ground, and it fills the tent floor beautifully. I can spread out yet not end up with an arm or leg on the bare ground. Add a pillow for the best sleep!

Great Product
This is a great product but I wish it packed away a little smaller. I used it in my hammock in 50F degree weather. Normally I felt the cold under me the whole time but this made it quite comfortable.

Great for the price, but
Great for the price, but a little heavy. Works well in a hammock and on the ground. No air pressure issues after so far, but air can be tough to get out when rolling it up.

The essential item to make all season hammock camping!!!
I liked the idea of hammock camping but couldn't get comfy and then dealt with being chilled in the shoulder seasons due to compression of my sleeping bag underneath me thereby losing insulation. This pad MADE hammock camping my go to! It keeps the hammock in a slightly flatter stance, the wings keep it open and the insulation makes things nice and toasty! I wasn't a fan of the hammock blankets on the outside so this was the perfect addition to my gear! Well worth the investment!

Great Hammock Pad
It is a good sturdy material that comes in a nice stuff sack. After I rolled it up I feel like there was more room in the bag than when I took it out. Very easy to inflate but a little tricky to deflate. Fit in my ENO doublenest great and did not slide around. The flaps kept it spread open and it was not to bad to move onto my side. First night took some getting used to on how firm it was. The flaps did make it a little more difficult to get in and out of the hammock. It is lightweight but surprised how much it weighed based on the material. Overall it is a great hammock pad and cant wait to use it again on my next camping trip.
