Kitsbow PowerWool Performance Knicker - Men's
PowerWool Performance Knicker
You don't have to convince us of the merits of wool used to construct cycling clothing and the PowerWool Performance Knicker from Kitsbow might just be one of our favorite new mountain bike finds. Ideal for pairing underneath your favorite baggie short, these knickers are ideal when the temps begin to drop and the fall trail leaf surf is up. Just as we've experienced from other garments in the made in the USA Kitsbow line, these knickers receive amazing attention to detail making them comfortable, durable, and great looking.
This knicker length liner is built with 4-Way Stretch Polartec Power Wool and offers additional coverage and warmth for your knees and we fell like its ideal temperature range is between 40 to 60-degrees Fahrenheit. This Polartec wool is unique in that it provides the insulation and softness of wool with the compression support typical of a synthetic material, improving the fit and helping the muscles recover quicker. The knees feature an articulated design for easier pedaling while Schoeller-shape 3XDRY patches provide additional protection up front and it's slightly thinner on the back for better ventilation and breathability and its finished off with some no-slip grippers at the openings.
Some final details include an ultra-comfortable chamois, made by Italian brand Cytech, providing comfort throughout the entire ride and reflective accents peeking out just below your baggies for safe trips to and from the trailhead during night rides and dawn patrol missions.

- Q & A
They are probably OK if they fit

- Size Bought: Medium

I tend to be right on the boundary between Medium and Small cycling tights. My skin suits are all Small but a lot of my regular shorts are Medium so I was surprised that the Medium knickers felt fairly tight. I could have lived with that but they have another problem: the "rise" from the crotch seam to the waist is much shorter than any other cycling shorts or knickers I have ever tried on. When I tried walking around my room a bit while trying the knickers on it felt like they were trying to move down onto my hips instead of staying on my waist.
They appear to be well made but for me at least there's no way I'd actually try to ride in them.
