Traxel Trainer Thru-Axle

While more and more bikes are coming with thru-axles, it doesn't mean those bikes won't fit in the trainer for some much-needed sessions this winter. With the Traxel Trainer Thru-Axle from Kinetic, you can put your road disc, gravel, 'cross, or mountain bike on the trainer using this precision-machined replacement thru-axle. It uses tapered heads that sit just far enough away from the bike's dropouts to fit the trainer's cone cups. Traxles come in 12mm diameters and firmly lock your bike into Kinetic trainers and may fit others too.

The Traxles are available in 4 lengths depending on the thread pitch and it is recommended to use this guide to determine the right axle for your bike. Kinetic even gives its blessings for everyday use so you can leave it on the bike and ride outside when the weather's nice too.

  • Adapts to fit 12mm rear thru-axles for indoor training
  • Compatible with Kinetic trainers and others
  • Available in different lengths and thread pitches to fit most bikes

I tried twice to get a bolt that fit my Cervelo but had to return each time. Backcountry does not refund their shipping fee so It cost me a lot of time and 4 shipping charges. Finally I got hold of someone at Backcountry that told me to go to Robert Axle. That advice was right on.

Worked like a charm getting my bike into a new trainer. No issues here at all. Well worth the price.

It depends on that your thread pitch is and how long of an axle you need. Here is a link how how to calculate what you need: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/587795e1725e25a56602aafe/t/589ce44fd1758e56544fe0ce/1486677071731/Traxle_SizingGuide.pdf Thanks, Greg
