    Hold ‘er steady.

Put the Kinetic Riser Ring under your front wheel and watch the pros ride last year’s Tour while you sit and spin for a few hours. The Riser Ring accommodates tires up to 2.25in wide, so it accommodates the current new standard of 25mm tires with ease. It's also future-proof as it'll fit the 28mm tires we'll all be riding in few years, a small mercy that will take the sting out of a wheelset and frame upgrade in pursuit of more tire clearance. The riser features four heights in half-inch increments to level out your bike. If you really want to enhance the simulation, stack some phone books underneath and pretend you’re climbing Ventoux.

Works better than the books, boxes, and kid toys that I used to level my bike in the past. I like the fact that you can vary the height using different slots in the ring. Overall very satisfied.

      Works Pretty Well

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

While riding on the trainer this works great for those who are taller or have bigger bikes. The only thing that is weird for me is that it slowly turns the wheel to the left when left alone all day. Maybe it's ghosts or some adjusting with placement, just thought that was weird.

      great options for height

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This block works great for the trainer. It has different levels of height so it can change up the workout a bit, not a huge difference, but enough. Holds the front wheel solid, works well.

      Perfect Block

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There are a handful of options out there for a quality trainer block. I chose this one because I wanted to choose from multiple heights for a more realistic feel. This offers a few options.

      Marginally better than a 2x4

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's primary advantage is the security of the groves. Bike stays in place. But a couple of pieces of wood work to set the right height too. I bought it, now i have to find a space to store it when not in use. Probably sits between the legs of the Kinetic. Still a lot of money for a piece of plastic that is only marginally better than a DIY solution.

      Bye Bye Phone Book

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For years I was took cheap to buy a riser block. I used phone books, blocks of wood, weight scales, sandles stacked inside each other... Anything I could find to save the $40 bucks. All that effort to save the $40, and experience a sub-par indoor riding experience was not worth it -- this thing changed my indoor riding life.

The ring works well for my road, mountain, and gravel bikes because of the different groove heights in the riser ring.

      Great Riser

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Solid, not as bulky as other risers and has a few different height settings which is nice. I would suggest using a floor mat underneath it for added stability and protecting whatever surface is beneath it.

Does what it is supposed to do

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a must have if you are using an indoor trainer. I like that it has plenty of different settings to adjust the front wheel height. I have a mat that I place my trainer and riser block on - so it does not move while I ride. I rotate the block after every ride so I'm not always riding at the same setting.
