    inRIDE Watt Meter

    Get more out of your Kinetic trainer with its inRIDE Watt Meter. Designed to work with all current Kinetic fluid trainers including the Road Machine, Rock and Roll, and Pro Trainer this pod is compatible with the Kinetic inRide App. It attaches to the resistance unit of your Kinetic trainer, and by using its accurate power curve, along with speed and cadence calculation, it will provide accurate and affordable power readings.

    The system uses Bluetooth communication to wirelessly pair the power sensor pod with the Kinetic inRide iPhone App or any other Bluetooth device, to measure power. Firmware in the inRide Sensor Pod measures speed and cadence at the tire and translates that to wattage using a simple equation. That data is then collected and displayed on the paired Bluetooth device. This also allows you to use other Training Apps such as Zwift and TrainerRoad.

    How does the unit work/calculates the power input

    Hello! The best way to explain the process is that it works off of the calculations of your speed and cadence in correlation with the Kinetic trainers very accurate power curve. From there it presents a very accurate power reading.



    Using known variables in the process such as the power it takes to turn the roller at a certain speed or cadence is what helps to get an accurate reading. This is where the accuracy of the power curve on the trainer becomes so important, and why Kinetic has put so much emphasis on the accuracy of this specific feature.
