Isn't that better than sitting around indoors?

It's a perfect weekend day, so stop lolling around in your jammies drinking coffee, pull on the Kuhl Women's Splash Roll-Up Pant, and get outdoors. This lightweight pant with a soft, cottony feel has just enough spandex woven in so that you move easily on the trail as you begin to wake up and pick up the pace. If you start to warm up, snap tabs on the lower leg let you roll up the cuffs and secure them; this also comes in handy if you come across a mountainside stream you simply have to dip your feet into. And should you slip on a mossy rock and get a little wetter than anticipated, the Splash pant dries faster than cotton, so by the time you get back to down you're looking presentable again.

    • Hit the trail or explore your favorite mountain in these pants
    • Stretch fabric promotes mobility on the trail
    • Snap tabs on cuffs secure hems during creek crossings
    • Large cargo pockets for stashing trail snacks and sunscreen
    • Item #KUH0211

    Great Pants!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8

I have two pair of these pants that are now two years old and have been worn and washed at least 500 times. They are super comfy and hold up great to lots of abuse. Love the fit, love the pockets. I'm here to buy more of them and am a little concerned about all the comments that they run small. I'm wondering if Kuhl has changed the sizing on these.? I am 5'6", 137lbs, and I HATE tight, restrictive pants. My two-year-old size 8 splash pants fit just great, nice and loose and comfy. A more generous fit than many other brands of size 8 pants. Backcountry staff......has Kuhl changed their sizing? Or can I order more size 8 pants with confidence?

    Perfect Pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 6

I really enjoy that these pants are designed to fit in the waist, higher in the back so there is no gap. The hidden drawstring is also helpful. I have purchased many Kuhl brand clothing items, built to last and looks great.

    Love!

I have these pants in multiple colors ( black, carbon, sage, indigo, rust and dusty blue) and love them! I am 5'7"and approx 140 lbs, size 10 fits me perfectly. They run a little small. I am normally a size 8. They are classy enough to look professional for work ( office casual) with a nice Columbia button down shirt. I work as a Physcal Therapist in an outpatient office. The pants are easy to get up and down off the floor for demonstrating exercises etc , yet look classy , especially if dry cleaned and creased. They are great quality, light weight for summer but wear them all winter long too. The length is great, which at 5' 7" is usually hard to find. The back pockets on the buttocks is very flattering! I consider these my uniform and cant wait to order more from backcountry. Wish Kuhl made a cream color, lighter then khaki. Personally I do not use these for hiking but can see why one might want to.

    Nice

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: size 2

I bought these for my wife. The pants are true to size (she's 5’ and 102 lb and generally weasr a size 2). The back is cut a little higher than the front, and the waist actually fits her. Usually if the legs fit, the waist is too big and then she has to wear a belt or use the built-in cord to tighten the waist. The Syrah color is nice and the fabric is perfect for climbing, hiking or hanging out. It's too bad she had to drastically hem the pant legs, but that’s par for the course.

    Love them😆

I normally wear a size 10 and ordered a size 14. I need a belt but other than that they fit great. I just got them a few days ago and I'm in love with them. Plan to order a couple more in different colors soon! The color Breen is very flattering. Age 45. Runs small size up 2 sizes if you have curves.

As described, runs small order up

I am 5'7" and 136 lbs. I usually wear a size 4 but ordered a size 6 in the color Breen. The color is great. I wish I was able to order in the red color as I saw someone wearing this while hiking and loved the color. They fit tight in the rear but are comfortable in other areas. I have a long torso and short legs and these fit just right.

    Great Pants

I love these pants so much. They are a bit long but are easily turned up. The fit is comfortable with the waist band sitting comfortably just below the waist. The fabric is stretchy for climbing rocky trails and leaping across water.

      I love them so much!

I am 5'2 @ 115 lbs with a short torso and long leg build. Purchased it in breen and am loving the color. I would like to note that these are a bit too long, but folding them up is not an issue for me. Aside from that, these pants fit wonderfully and I have room to move around in them--which is a big factor because I have trouble finding pants that fit and give breathing room for my quads. The Kühl Splash Pants are functional, quick to dry, and have lasted many outdoor excursions as well as casual outings. I would definitely buy another pair.

        I love them so much!

        Best field pants ever!

As a field geologist, I am extremely hard on clothes. These pants have held up longer than any other brand. They are comfortable, look nice, dry quick, fit perfect, and have plenty of pockets! I wear them everywhere. I bought the sage a few months ago and just ordered the indigo last week.

Side note: I got grease on them from a drill rig the first day I wore them to work. Several hours later, I poured Dawn dishwashing liquid on them and threw them in the washer. They came out without a stain!

        Adventure Pants!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size

These have just the right number of pockets (chapstick/cash, phone, snack, and trash pockets), dry incredibly quickly, are super durable, and aren't constrictive. They're perfect for hiking and general adventuring.

As far as fit goes, I'd say they fit True To Size but if you're worried about it, go up a size.

Absolute favorite pants, work or play

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 12

Bought these primarily for doing conservation work and they've transitioned to my favorite everyday pant for work or play. Super quick-drying and wicking but rugged and durable, no wear in any of the usual places after a year of nearly-everyday wear. Super comfy, gives in all the right places, but maintains a nice flattering silhouette, even after weeks without a wash. Great, mid-rise cut stays put and stays comfy under pack waistbands.

Great pants, run small and short

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 10

I am 5-8, long legs,, 150lbs, and athletic build. I normally wear a 6 or 8, had to get a 10 for these. They run a little short, I usually am in between regular and long/tall sizes, these are about an inch or two short. Good amount of stretch. Great pants, would buy them in every color if they were longer!

        Camping Pants

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 4

My wife wears these pants camping. She says they are a little tight across the rear, and loose in the waist, but she tends to have that problem with pants in general. They fit well otherwise. Awesome for camping. Perfect length both full and rolled.

        Super Fun Pants!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 6

I'm hard to fit - tall, thin, no hips - so am thrilled to find these quality pants. I love the style and they are so comfortable that I have 5 pairs. Be advised that Sage and Breen are almost the same color.

        Lightweight, cute cut

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: 4

These are really cute pants, I love the fit and style of them. They are lightweight too, and perfect for hiking! I purchased these for my sister and she had to return them sadly because they were way too long for her. She is 5'2, so shorter, but they were overly long. When she would roll them up, they would hit her just below the ankles, where pants probably should be. Other than that, they were a perfect, true to size fit and very comfortable pants!

        Great Hiking Pant

        • Fit: True to size

My mom really likes these pants to hike in. They dry quickly and are comfortable on long hikes. The pockets are very convenient for all the things she likes to collect on her hikes. She would buy them again.

I love these pants.. I just got them and when I first put them on I was concerned that I was going to have to return them as they felt short in the "seat" and felt like they were pressing into the crotch area however after wearing them around for a few mins they immediately loosened up .. they fit great everywhere else (I'm 5 7 and 135 lbs) and I love the fabric and pockets.. It will remain to be seen though as I wear them if they loosen up too much:) Hard for me to say if true to size or not. I have gained a few lbs and was always a 4 in athleta now wear a 6 or 8 depending upon the cut of something. I bought these in an 8 and so far the fit is just right but if I gain a few lbs in the wrong place they won't fit any longer:(

Would these pants be good for climbing? I have yet to find thin yet durable pants for this purpose. My normal hiking pants don't breathe enough for climbing.

I've climbed (bouldering, sport climbing) in these for 2 yrs. I find them comfortable and allow for flexibility. But, they're better for cooler weather. They're not particularly breathable, but they ARE durable and you won't worry about tearing holes in them on the rock.

Would this be lightweight enough for hiking in 90 degree weather?

        Best Answer

        Hi Skye,

These pants will be lightweight enough, and I would wear these in 90 degree weather if I was working somewhere pants were preferred over shorts, but I would also pack shorts just in case you start to overheat.

Can anyone compare the fit of these to a breathable, waterproof pant--like the Marmot Davos?

        Best Answer

The KUHLs and the Marmot Davos are a similar cut and should fit very similar. Do keep in mind though that the Davos is a softshell and will feel heavier than the KUHL, and you probably normally layer under your Davos where you wouldn't with this pant. Though, again, they will be a very similar cut.

Does this pant have a 30" inseam or a 32" inseam??? The tech specs says 30", but in the list of questions answered, Josh Chapman said it was 32". What are they?
