    Comfortable three-season camping.

Enjoy warm, comfortable, three-season sleeping in the Kelty Cosmic 20 Sleeping Bag. The Cosmic is filled with 600-fill DriDown, which gives you the high warmth-to-weight ratio that makes down so great, but it has been treated with a water-repellent finish so it won't become completely worthless if things get a bit damp. Smart features like a top draft collar and hood, a full-length draft tube, and ground level seams keep the chill from creeping into your bag, and sleeping pad loops and liner loops keep everything positioned right where you need it. An included stuff sack lets this beast compress to make packing your backpack easier, too, because a sleeping bag isn't much good if you can't fit it into your pack.

    Kelty is affordable quality!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love Kelty products! They hit the right price point without sacrificing quality. I was looking for a light, warm bag that packs up small that wouldn't kill my budget. This is it. It's durable and we'll made. Great for backpacking or just car camping.

    sleep warm!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

this is a great bag for some colder nights! lightweight, comfortable. there is no really loud annoying noises if you move around alot in your sleep like i do. such a great price!

Great Bag, especially for the price

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Really comfortable and versatile bag - I've only used it down to about 30 degrees and it was plenty warm without being too hot. Packs down small enough but would definitely recommend a compression sack for backpacking. can't be beat for the price

    Awesome bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really enjoy this Kelty Cosmic bag. It is so great for a lower end sleeping bag and well worth $150 for a 600 fill bag! The 20 degree rating is also the most versatile temperature rating in my opinion. It's not too hot for the summer nights, and paired with a nice bag liner it also works out awesome for some winter camping if you're into that as well. I also love the feel of the thick polyester shell. It is not only warm and comfortable, but also very durable and packs down small! At 2lb's 9oz's it is a really nice all around bag for camping and backpacking trips.

    sleeping bag delight.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

this bag is a great for the price point. I was super warm and it's way softer than my synthetic bag. This is my first down sleeping bag and I don't think I'll do synthetic again because I was so much more comfortable with this one.

    Great Backpacking Sleeping Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For the money, this bag is great! I bought one a year ago and bought another one last month. I have slept in this down to 24 degrees (F) and taken it on 4 different backpacking trips in Utah and Wyoming. The tall has plenty of room for me at 6', 195lb.

One note, if you are using this for backpacking much, you will want to get a compression bag. The bag that comes with it isn't bad but you can definitely get it smaller.

    Great Value

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As far as features, it has everything you'd expect in a 20 degree bag with a water-repellant down filling. It's warm, it's fairly light, and it packs down nicely. The real story here is that it comes in at a significantly lower price than most of its competition, and it doesn't seem to make any sacrifices to get there. Very highly recommended.

    Best bang for your buck!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I found this bag to be pretty light for the 600 down fill count. It seemed to be roomy as well, even for a mummy. The draft collar definitely helps keep out the cold chills. I was surprised at the upgraded features this bag has since it is not super expensive. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I first used it in about 30 degree temps, and I was super warm. I can't wait to try it out in lower temps later this year. I would highly recommend this sleeping bag.

Best down bag value there is

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Have the previous year's model. A great inexpensive down bag. The newer model uses 600 dry down vs last years 550. Carry it in a Granite Gear eVent dry compression sack, and it compresses down to 7"x8"x12. I cannot recommend it enough.

    Unanswered Question

Would I be able to squeeze this bag into a 5L compession sack, or would I be better off with 8L?
