I have a wide foot. I ordered my size (7.5) anyway, for my old pair of Keens was my true size and they were perfectly broken in. All I had to do was loosen the laces at the widest part of my foot and they fit very well. I really didn't break them in. I love the gortex-like material, which is different than the leather upper I had on my last mid Keen. Haven't jumped in many puddles, yet, but am excited to do so. Love the tread, even if it isn't Vibram.

I have owned 3 pair of Keen shoes and love them. They are super comfortable and wear very well over a long period of time. These hiking boots are very comfy right out of the box and though I’ve only worn them 2 days now I love them. I am typically a size 7.5 tho depending on the shoe a 7 will also fit me ... these are a 7.5 and fit perfectly. My only complaint is that the color is not accurate on this website ~ the color I ordered is gray/shark bite and the picture looks very much gray ... but when you get the item it is very much a purple color. Not quite what was expected. If you are in a fairly dark room it looks a bit gray ... but in any kind of lighting it is a purple. I’m ok with it and will keep them but it was definitely a disappointment and worthy of mentioning for future buyers.

Love these hiking shoes so far. Very stylish, but also comfortable and made with a women’s foot in mind. I wear a 9 in Nike sneakers and that is what I order based on their sizing guide and they fit perfect with enough room for my thicker hiking socks. Also, this was my first time ordering from backcountry and was VERY impressed with the customer service. I have been experiencing a lot of issues with my packages during COVID, or at least when it gets transferred to my local post office. I was nervous that once the boots weren’t delivered by the expected date that I wouldn’t have them in time for my hiking trip, but Backcountry was great and very understanding and rushed shipped a replacement pair once they confirmed my package was stuck in limbo. Other companies that I won’t name required that I wait an additional two weeks after the expected delivery date before they would put in a request to ship another product out which would take another 10 business days before I could receive. Luckily, that wasn’t the case here because then I wouldn’t have had the boots in time for my 5 week hiking adventure. Thank you Backcountry!! You now have a very loyal customer.
