    Lightweight and Comfortable.

Long gone are the days spent hiking around in uncomfortable hiking boots. Queue up the Keen Terradora Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot, and get ready for a solid dose of sunshine and happy feet. Ideal for day hikes and day-long travels, the Terradora allows you to put your best foot forward with its comfort-first construction. The Keen.Dry waterproof membrane safeguards your foot from puddles, moisture, and accidental coffee spills.

The breathable mesh and synthetic upper assures ample ventilation, dexterity, and comfort, while the contoured heel lock and cushioned panel are designed to take pressure off of your Achilles tendon and prevent foot and leg fatigue. A lightweight EVA midsole attenuates shock, disperses impact, and provides day-long support, and the ESS stability shank not only ensures steady feel underfoot, but also protects your foot from trail obstacles. Naturally, a proper hiking boot would be rendered useless if it weren't for a solid sole, which is why Keen outfitted the Terradora with a non-marking rubber sole and multi-directional lugs for unimpeded traction when you need it most.

    Great Hiking Boots

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

First time buying hiking boots and I love them! Really great price and quality. True to size and breathable. I normally get shin pain but these boots really helped. Easy to break in, overall I'm very happy with the boots.

I bought these for my sister to take on a trip to Tanzania and this is her review:
Love the color. Takes some time to break them in. Also they definitely are waterproof, as long as you're not wading in water that goes over the ankle bit of the shoe.

    Like a feather!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These shoes are surprisingly versatile! I took them on a snowshoe hike in deep snow and my feet stayed dry. I've used them for hikes through Arches national park and Zion and they did not pinch or bother. Warning: if you have really wide feet they may bother because they do run slightly narrow. I'd say I'm on that border between wide/narrow and they were just right.

    Super Comfy

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these for my wife and she loves them. They are comfortable like a tennis shoe but come up high over the ankle for extra support. The fabric seems breathable despite being waterproof.

    Super comfy hiking shoe

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Keen shoes and boots fit wider than most other brands out there, which I love. The grey color is a nice change from the usual brown-only hiking boots that are available with other brands.

    Super comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Perfect out of the box shoe - no break in period. Wore these shoes every day for 2 weeks in South America, including 4 days of hiking 10 miles a day in the Andes. So comfortable, just perfect. Also withstood an hour or two of rain in the Andes and kept my feet dry...unlike my similarly new Patagonia rain jacket. I'd highly recommend these boots!

These hiking boots are great. I have used them a few times now and have been nothing but happy with them. They are super cute, have very good traction, and are waterproof. The waterproof part did surprise me a bit, because they don't really look waterproof. But I was hiking on a trail that crossed a stream multiple times, and my feet did not get wet. As long as the water doesn't go over the top of the boots, your feet will stay dry.
They also provide a good amount of support without being too heavy or stiff. Very comfy. Highly recommend!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wore these for a straight 5 weeks backpacking in AUS & New Zealand during their winter so they saw basically all climate types. Definitely waterproof until the water reaches over your ankle which is a huge plus. Not the most slip resistant though. I definitely would reccomend these for light hiking because they are more like a tennis shoe than a stiff hiking boot. On the bright side my feet essentially never hurt even after hours of hiking. These are my first pair of hiking boots so I didn’t know what to expect but less than a year later the boots started ripping at the toe seams. I had to take them back so I’m super disappointed to say the least.

These are a solid choice for light weight day hiking shoe or even for mountain biking. The arch support is great and the shoes themselves aren't too bulky which is nice for me because I'm always tripping over my feet and these don't get in the way. The toe box is nice and roomy. I did find these to be a bit tight on the mid foot the first couple of wears, but I've found that it's gotten better with wear.

    Great Day Hikers

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Keen Terradoras are great shoes for light hiking. They are lightweight, breathable and waterproof shoes that are ready to hike in right out of the box. They aren't meant for heavy duty backpacking or serious rocky terrain, but are perfect for day hikes or exploring around a national park.
I only had them for a few weeks, but went on several dayhikes for a few miles in dirt, sand, up slippery rocks, and through rain and snow and they performed really well. My feet stayed dry the whole time and I was impressed with how well they gripped slippery rock.

I found the fit to be true to size with a roomy toe box. As I mentioned earlier, they do have a slightly wide toe-box, but they don't have a ton of room through out the shoe, so your foot is secure and locked in place. They are really comfortable and I didn't have any blisters or hot spots.

    Waterproof all-day comfort

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have had these for a few weeks now. So, technically, I'm not sure how durable they will be since I haven't put them through the wringer. So, that's why I didn't do a full 5 stars. Knowing Keen though, they will go the distance.

I got these day hikers just to demo and ostensibly haven't taken them off since. I keep finding excuses to wear them, even though I'm not hiking. So, they are a keeper. I'm stoked! My new best friends, for this summer.

These are VERY comfortable, out of the box. There is no break-in period. Because of that comfort though, these are definitely day-hikers. There isn't the stiff support most people want, while carrying a heavy backpack. If you don't like a stiff boot for backpacking and want something closer to a running shoe feel, then you will love these.

My favorite feature has to be their wide toe-box. BUT! They don't look boxy at all! Somehow they designed the top to look "normal", but you'll quickly feel that you have a lot of room for the ball of your toe to make full contact with the ground. I like to splay my toes for balance, so this is an incredible important feature to me and I like the added bonus that they still look slim.

I gave the waterproofing a few good tests, walking right through the streams. They stayed dry as dirt, so 5 stars on that front. There weren't any slippery rocks to test, since it's still early in the season. So, not sure how they will do on mossy rocks, yet.

I did take it up near-vertical sandstone rock walls, just to see how the sole performed. I'm always cautious at first, but they were golden. No worries there.

Sweat-wise, I didn’t have a problem in the high desert. I was concerned because I wore thick socks, and it was hot. But, turns out, it really wasn’t an issue. I didn’t get soggy feet or slippage or blisters. But, the desert will get much hotter, so I will definitely get thinner socks for the summer.

For size, go TRUE. My hiking boot and running shoe size is almost always 9.0. The size 9.0 in this is perfect, so go with your most normal size for active shoes and boots.

    Waterproof all-day comfort

    Affordable Support!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am really pleased with the Keen Terradora boots. I've been looking to replace my hand-me-down North Face boots for a while now, and came across these.

They are good looking and most of all, comfortable for all day wear! I use these for long hikes but have also used them on a few occasions for biking. The Keen footbed was a little weird at first -- they are removable so you can replace them with your own but after an hour of wearing them I became used to the fit and found the boots far more comfortable with the footbeds in.

These are a supportive, comfortable, durable boot that will last for many adventures!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was my very first actual hiking boot that I have ever had. From hiking in nikes and vans my whole life, I was SOO impressed with these.

The fit is true to size as well as super comfortable. I took these sweet boots up to the living room hike up behind the U of U and I was feeling very grateful for them. Wearing pretty thin socks in new boots makes me a little nervous, but I had no issues at all with any rubbing or irritation.

The hike I did was about 2.2 miles one way, and it is fairly steep the whole way. The breaking in of most shoes is painful and can take a couple good uses to really get them broken in. These Keens were my first pair of this brand and they felt pretty decently broken in on the first use. There were a few puddles along the trail, and having water proof boots was a HUGE game changer. I could walk right through them and my feet stayed dry the whole time.

If you are in the market for new mid hiking boots that are comfortable, waterproof, fit true to size, and have good ankle support- THESE ARE THE BOOTS YOU WANT TO GET!!! You will not be disappointed because you are getting true quality for the price of the boot.

    Great Day Hiking Boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

KEEN really did a great job with these! They were comfy from the get go, and fit like a glove. I bought my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly, even with a thicker hiking sock. I took these out hiking in Moab and I loved them!

These boots provide great ankle and foot support. The foot bed is cushioned so you don't feel fatigue from a long day of hiking. It also helps so you don'€™t feel as much of the trail on your foot. They are also roomy! The toe box is pretty wide so your toes don't feel squished together when walking. They also have a roomy mid-foot area so your foot doesn't'€™t feel squished either. This made them even comfier to walk around in all day. They are waterproof, which is essential! And they also did a great job of keeping sand out! I hiked a sandy trail in Moab and didn't have any problems. The sole of the shoe has great grip! They grip the rocks well, even with sand and made it easier to hike a difficult trail. They didn't give me any blisters and were breathable in the mild heat. They also keep my feet warm with a thicker sock when it is chilly. The boots are pretty lightweight and didn't feel heavy when hiking.

Overall, these are really comfy boots and perfect for day hiking! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solid boot for day hikes. They are also cute, which you don't always get in hiking boots!

    Great Day Hiking Boot

    Relaxed toe-box, firm lateral support.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just got these, so will update this with a lot more information, later. But, my initial impression is very positive!

They are comfortable out of the box and the cushion is ample. I don't get fatigue, even after a full day on my feet.

They really hug the mid-foot, giving me a lot of stability. Plus, the toe box is roomy, allowing my toes and forefoot to stride naturally. That is really important to me, so am stoked to actually get these hiking.

The fit is very true. I'm a size 9.0 and these are fitting like a glove.

Stand by for a field report...

    On the Money

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Got these as a gift for my sister-in-law, she had never really had a pair of real hiking boots before - just hiked in sneakers. She found them lightweight, breathable and very comfortable. She didn't have the shin pain she normally does when hiking. Runs true to size. All-in-all a solid boot choice.

    Good boots!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Got these for my wife, this is her review.

"I absolutely love these boots! I took them out for a lazy day hike with some stream crossings and they performed well. I like the ankle support and the shoes did well with crossing shallow stream beds. Plus they come in lots of different colors that aren't pink/brown/blue. Check these out if you're looking for a solid waterproof midtop boot."
