- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Bought these boots for a trip to Colorado. They were great! Went looking for fall there but ended up in the first heavy snowfall of the season. These boots were put through rain, snow, ice and running water. They were completely waterproof and quite comfortable. They are a little clunky/rugged but that doesn't bother me.
Just what I needed
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I broke these in just a weeeee bit before taking them on a first full trip, a solid hike around Mt Washington. To be honest, I bought them because they seemed to be the shoes the everyone and their mother trusts, I see them on the trail and in the day to day all the time. They were angels in lots of deep mud and mountain streams following unrelenting summer storms. Despite the fresh tread, they did slip out on smooth-faced scrambles when wet, but that's to be expected. Overall, I use them on all my hikes now, they were forgiving even though not fully broken in, and they are super comfy when Im collecting research field samples for work on farms. Totally water proof, totally comfy, and even a little cute with skinny jeans (sorry not sorry!)
