Your hiking season doesn't have to end with winter.

Winter brings with it uncrowded trails, snowy peaks, and the feeling of complete solitude, but snow-covered mountains will reward only those willing few who have the proper footwear. The Keen Men's Revel III Boots will give your feet what they need when venturing into snowy mountains with a waterproof construction and plenty of insulation to combat those cold mountain temperatures. Whether you're snowshoeing or taking a winter hike, it's critical to keep your feet dry, which is why Keen equipped these boots with its Keen.Dry waterproof insert. Behind the boot's waterproof insert is a heavy dose of insulation both around and below the foot to keep your feet nice and toasty when you stop to take in the views. The sole is a dual compound rubber designed for excellent traction whether your hiking through fluffy powder or slick sheet of ice.

    Revel III

    • Fit: True to size

Fit is great, this is my second pair. The boots keep my feet warm. Easy to put on and lace up. And the laces are crap and are of poor quality. Broke in one month's use.

    great boots and super service!

Second pair I have owned, best boot I have found. I put a lot of miles on these canoe trippin and everyday use. Backcountry folks were great to deal with for ordering and exchange. Will buy these again and use Backcountry often.

Got these as a gift for my brother and he hasn't taken them off. He says they are the most comfortable boot he's ever owned.

      Very happy

This is the first time I have purchased a Keen boot. I work as a Horticulturist and I'm in the field daily. Being on slopes all day long every other boot was falling apart quickly and broke down from the hard wear. I had read that they had a tendency to not be true to size so I went with a suggestion to get a smaller size and had to return them. This second pair was perfect and what I usually get at a 10.5 .They were really comfortable from day one and so far it's the best work boot I have ever used. I have come to find out that the majority of my coworkers also use some form of Keen boot because of how well they hold up and how comfortable they are. I also have to work in wet conditions often and so far I have not had any breach of water inside. After dealing with other brands for so long and not being happy, I can't wait to try some of the other models just to change up the style for different occasions.
When I use to get home from work I couldn't wait to take my boots off. Not only do I leave them on now after hosing them off but I put them back on when I have to run back out for some reason ! No more achy feet.

Keen Revel III - Nice boot

      • Size Bought: 10
      • Height: 5'7"
      • Weight: 158lbs

This boot has a large toe box which I like and they feel like they are already broken in on the first walk. There also seems to be very good ankle support and my feet stay warm and dry during mid winter walks in the Northeast. I usually do a 12 mile fast walk on mostly pavement and concrete sidewalks and wearing these along with a pair of Darn Tough Vermont hiking socks makes for a very comfortable start and finish. IMO they run small so buy at least a 1/2 size larger than you normally would. Hopefully these boots will last for a long time.Great quality and nice job. Thanks!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I will start by saying that I LOVE Keen for their comfort, looks, quality, and wide toe box. Back in 2011, I purchased the Revel (first generation) and loved it so much that I immediately bought 2 extra pair, because I knew the model would eventually go away and never be available again.

Now 2015, I purchased this Revel III, and I have to say, I was initially disappointed with the update/redesign... So much that I printed the return slip and boxed them back up. Nevertheless, I slept on it, and decided to keep the boots and give them a chance.

This boot is true to size (for me anyway), is durable, comfortable, and warm enough for winter here in Colorado. For me, it lacks some additional leather panels and stiching around the toe box and sides, leaving it looking a bit too plain. Also, they removed a lot of leather around the top/back of the ankle upper, and so there is very little (if any) actual ankle support.

All that said, and while I still highly prefer the design of the original Revel, I will be keeping these.
