Lighter than a traditional hiking shoe but more protective than a lightweight trail running shoe, the KEEN NXIS Speed is our hiking sneaker with a roomier fit. Made for those of us who travel light and hike fast, it features lightweight mesh for better ventilation, a speed lace system, and KEEN's iconic comfort fit with more room for our toes to spread out. The all-terrain outsoles feature horseshoe tread that's designed for muddy downhills, rocky uphills, and slippery sidewalks for our hikes close to home.

Very comfortable

Hybrid trail runner/hiker
This is my 2nd pair, the fit is consistent with every other pair of Keens I’ve had. Last year I walked around 30 miles a week (80/20 pavement to trail) the shoes held up most of the summer. And they handled rough trails and some cross country really well. I wore out the insoles 1st, and preemptively ordered a pair to change out in a few months. The soles could be more long lived as well.

Best work sneaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am on my 2nd pair of these now. The toe is hard enough for kneeling on and protection. The sole is plush and nice to be on your feet all day. They are more breathable than any leather shoe. Great for light duty work days.

Awesome shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of these shoes and they are as great as the first pair. I'll be buying a third pair of the NXIS in a few more days. These shoes are the greatest fitting and feeling shoes I've ever owned.

I believe with time I
I believe with time I will get use to the wide toe area. They are comfortable but seem to be a little large. It’s just going to take time and wearing them on a daily basis.
