love keens. great shoes. good quality. these however are terrible. multiple spots have desalination between the shoe and sole, frawing throughout, and the stiching is loose. light use over 3.5 months... just not worth the money. plus their heavy for what they are. purchased in the beginning June, useless by the end of August.

Had a hard time deciding between the Clearwater and Newport, eventually I feel I may end up with both at some point. I liked the lower profile less "bulky" feel of the Clearwater, which is what lead to my choice. The only downfall is that while standing for an extended time in a float boat fly fishing I could start to feel the lack of support in my back with the clearwater. At that point I was wishing I had gone for the Newport thinking the larger sole would have provided more support like a shoe. Besides that extended amount of time standing, I have felt the Clearwater has been great! They've been nice to have on around the house or lake cabin and they've performed just fine on some mild/moderate hiking on heavily used mountain trails. As for size, I typically wear an 11.5 in most shoes, more often I go down into an 11 than go up to a 12. But in this case, the 12 was a must in the Clearwater and Newports for me because my toes would rub on the front of the toe box in an 11.5.

Bought me a new pair for my birthday in Moab. I have never owned a pair of Keens that were so lightweight and I was really Impressed. Over the years, I feel like they really upped their game when it comes to traction, wet or dry, and I was impressed the whole time. Very comfortable!

These sandals are really comfortable, though they can be a pain to put on. They work well in the water, though, and also for daily use.

i was very enthused about these, as the rest of the family if very happy with their keens, but while these sandals were very comfy to wear, actually getting them on my foot was an ordeal i'm not willing to go through on a regular basis :( update: i wore them around a bit more (and did some digging on keen's site... only the women's whisper line has an elastic heel) and decided that with some adjustment, it's not that big a pain to put on. still not as simple as it would be with an elastic heel-strap, but not as bad as i initially thought. i'm keeping them.

Overall these shoes are very good and I would absolutely buy them again. They do well in hot weather to keep my feet dry. I've used them kayaking and it was an easy transition from land to water to land. The footbed becomes only slightly slippery when wet and for the most part, my feet slipping around was a minor issue. They are a little tough to get on, but once on, are very secure, even without tightening the cord. I usually wear a 10.5 mens, but had to get an 11. I wouldn't say they run small, but I would definitely round up on the size.

I used these shoes fishing/ hiking over this summer and was definitely happy with them. They are comfortable and lightweight although I would like a little more grip for walking up the slimy rocks on the river, very good, durable sandal.

My wife and I both purchased these, primarily because we wanted a good quality sandal to take on backpacking trips for giving our feet a break at camp, and fording creeks if necessary. At first we were looking at Chacos, but they were HEAVY. So we turned our attention to these Keen's and are so glad we did! They are Very light and comfortable. I now use them for daily use, not only for backpacking. After you get them all dirty, just throw them in the wash and they look like new again! I normally wear a size 13 but I sized down to a 12 with these which fit me perfect. I wanted a more snug fit. They say they are "Waterproof" (says right on the sandal) but every time I wear them in water my feet get wet... Whats up with that? :) All joking aside we love our Keen's and expect to get many, many years worth of use out of them.

I picked these up to replace my old Keen Newports. I really like the design of the shoe for a lighter version of the newport. Yet after a few uses they still don't seem to fit my last. The opening takes me 2 hands to get my foot into the sandal, which is a first. All in all this is an awesomely built shoe but not as wide as the Newport so perhaps size up? I'm a 102mm last

The one thing I love most about these is they are so much lighter than the H2 or Chaco's. I wore these around all Summer and I loved them. Minimalist mentality here but with a toe box! Size down a half size.

Great Water Shoe

I really like these Keen's. These are a nice low profile fit. I found them to be a little big, but for a water shoe I also prefer them to be snug, so I sized down a half size. I have used these to fly-fish on hot summer days, and also any time near water, these are my go to. They are decent as a hiking sandal, the grip is ok. These are a little bit more of a low profile compared to the Newport H2.

These sandals make great water shoes for rafting. The sandals have great true to size fit and won't come off even in deep mud! These sandals feel great on my feet wet or dry, I hardly notice I'm wearing them on the river.

I will preface this review by saying these are my first Keens, I've never owned the classic Newport or any other kinds. I bought these shoes because I like minimalist/lightweight shoes, and these were on sale. I am on my feet all day at work and wore these for about 3 months straight. I have flat feet and a lot of feet issues. My feet are very blister-prone but I never got a single blister. After about 3 months, I noticed my back started to hurt after a long day and I think it's because these are just not that supportive (clearly - they are very lightweight and the arch support is minimal). I still use these for short term use (ie out hiking for a few hours, walking around town, etc) but they're not supportive enough anymore to wear all day. I consider them more like a flip flop or a slipper now. Really not too bad for 3 months of constant use, and they show almost no wear. I never had any issues with the toggle. I actually just tuck the laces underneath themselves and don't use the plastic toggle at all. Also I am female but have big feet and generally buy mens shoes. The blue/yellow has grown on me. It's no fashion statement, but is not ridiculous either.
