Say goodbye to sloppy seams and unnerving board chatter with Karakoram Splitboard Clips. They feature a patent-pending latch system that pulls the two halves of your splitboard together, rather than just holding them next to each other, so that you can enjoy a torsionally stiffer and more solid ride that will improve control and boost your confidence in technical terrain.
- Latch system firmly secures the board halves together for the tightest board seam possible, improving control and eliminating chatter
- Same mounting pattern as Voile so you can swap out without drilling additional holes
- Item #KRM0002

had to upgrade!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These clips are so much better than the hook system that came on my burton board. They came installed on my previous splitboard, so I knew the difference and upgraded right away. You will need the mounting hardware, which is on a different sku on the site. Worth it 100%

Definitely makes a difference. Things just seem much more in place and they stay in place since installing these.

Worth the upgrade!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I installed these on my Voile splitboard to replace the standard Voile clips. In cold conditions, getting the alignment right while putting my board back together is so much easier now. Additionally, the board feels more stable, especially noticeable when we're done touring in the sidecountry and hit the resort groomers to head home. Highly recommend the upgrade as a result of ease of transitions and the added stability.

Much better than Voile Clips

These are awesome and hold the board together a bit better than the voile clips, I have a few other voile products but this where their competition has them beat.

Makes a Huge Difference
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I'm riding the Burton Flight Attendant split, the stock clips on the board are fairly sloppy. I upgraded to these and felt an instant difference. The slop is gone, the board is rigid and rides like it should. Liked them so much I bought a few more sets for my friends for the holidays.

HARDWARE
- Familiarity:

I use these on my Jones Solution split and love them. If you're buying these clips and don't have the hardware, you'll want to get the hardware as well to mount on your board. http://www.backcountry.com/karakoram-mounting-hardware?skid=KRM000K-ONECOL-ONESIZ&ti=U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM6a2FyYWtvcmFtOjE6MTA6a2FyYWtvcmFt

Need for Karakoram bindings
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I needed to make the switch to these from the Voile clips that came with my board. I have a 2012 Jones Solution (the year before they started coming with these clips) and was making the jump from using standard bindings on slider plates to the Prime1. These make a huge difference in rigidity of the board. They not only hold the board together but pull the 2 halves into each other which makes for a much more stable and responsive ride. If you are getting Karakoram bindings and your board doesn't have these then you need to get them.

Needed for my board
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The "quick-change" is not possible using the factory-installed hardware, because the bindings don't easily slide off, so in essence, you'd have to remove one of the mounts completely, to change between skis and snowboard. By installing clips, you are able to use your Karakoram system more efficiently (and much faster). At this time, there are very few split board binding options in the market that are made to be quick and effortless.

Thumbs up!

These clips are great. Fit easily in the holes that were previously there with my old Voile clips. Easy to use and provides a super tight board seam and extra support under the feet while riding.

Rock Solid Connection
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
One of my splitboards is a very soft, fully-rockered Lib-Tech. Super fun on pow days, but very iffy when snow conditions degrade. I had it setup with basic Voile DIY hardware. Earlier this year, I bought the K clips to see if any torsional rigidity could be added. The answer; absolutely YES. I would not have dared riding a squishy, rockered split down the couloir pictured below without the K-clips. Seriously, the clips took 45 minutes to install. That included "heating out" the epoxy from my Voile hook hardware, which most of you will not have to do. Same screw pattern and size as Voile hooks, so you do not need hardware if you are upgrading from them. You can adjust the clips as a board breaks in, which is necessary with plastic puck and binding friction or interior seam friction over time. If you want to extend the life of an old split, or rip serious terrain without shelling out serious cash for a factory split, go with K clips!

Solid Clips
These clips are adjustable that makes ahuge difference when it comes to connection the only question I see is how tight is too tight. I got mine as tight as I could and they really seal the to sides. Really easy install, they come withtemplates but the screws and bolts need to be purchased separately.

Massive Clamping Force
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
There is no better way to connect your splitty than with the K-Clips. If your board lacks rigidity this will improve it. It's re-assuring to feel the connection these clips offer. That said there are some drawbacks. 1) The hardware may need to be modified. I ended up shortening some of the bolts to keep from having exposed threads above the nut. 2) These are SCREAMING for a glove-friendly pull tab. I'm really surprised at how hard it is to unlatch with a glove on. Adjustable tension helps fine-tune the clamping force on your "skillfully" cut DIY or a variety of factory splits. My entire quiver is upgraded to these, no exceptions for me.

I saw a vid on the Karakoram site. The owner of the company put a pull tab (like on a jacket zipper) on his for work with gloves when it's cold.

Definitely recommend these
These clips reduce that chatter you tend to get when splitting with an older board and gives it a more sturdy ride. A lot of boards come with these clips nowadays and I can see why.

the must have for your DIY split set up. If you're connection isn't 100% these do the job of pulling the planks together tightly. Board response was vastly improved.

Compatible with Voilé hook holes? I have a K2 ultra split with Voilé hooks; will these line up with the holes for the Voilé hooks, or would I have to redrill new holes?
