Necessary but flawed

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The dual speeds were supposed to fix the riser collapse issue with the older model but it unfortunately does not. Expect to get about 30 days on these before the plastic wears and they get loose and start to collapse. I have had it happen to three sets of them. I get maybe 1.5 seasons out of them. Unfortunately you also need them.

Well Worth It

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Takes a little getting use to mechanistically, but works great once you get the hang of it! I felt it has been a lot easier to manipulate with a ski pole than other elevators I have had in the past.
